I bought this for my 6 year old daughter because she wanted to learn how to needlepoint. It was very easy to use and very easy for her to learn. She is hoping to get another design after this one.

I purchased this product for my 94 year old grandmother to help with cognitive and motor skills. She loved it and it came out so adorable.

Instructions are very few so we were unsure how to change colors and whatnot. Plus, colors fade as you stitch and handle it so we could see what color went where. It was fun for my 6year old and she got independent quickly which was the goal. Have a cat to try again. Thankfully they're cheap or I wouldn't get again. But it's worth it for beginners and ok not to be done perfectly as she made other mistakes as well.

This came in a pack of 3. I was expecting only one so that is a plus. A nice gift/project but takes time. A nice beginning sewing project. Don't expect to get it completed extremely fast unless you are a seamstress and know what you are doing. The yarn seems to get knotted easily as you pull through the loops but otherwise no complaints on the project.

This kit truly defines "Okay." The yarn is so very cheap that it knots and comes apart and pills up horribly. The picture printed on the back of the mesh comes off with handling. The younger the child, the more "handling" and the quicker the picture comes off and you have to rely on counting, using the pattern. My developmentally delayed 12 year old handled it pretty well, needing a little help with this and that and finishing with dedicated work time each day for a week. (5 days) My 10 year old has made slow but steady progress. She is probably half way done with hers now. My 7 year old has struggled with it. (I think half the struggle is boredom, lol. She doesn't seem to enjoy the process.) I am helping her a LOT with hers but having her do enough of it that when it is done, she will feel like she accomplished something. If I choose to order these again, I will probably try to coat the back in clear nail polish to help hold the paint on longer. I might also purchase higher quality yarn locally for the larger parts in one color - like the background and main animal color.

This is a 3-pack of the horse design, which I didn't read closely enough to realize,so that was a pleasant surprise. My 6 year old got started right away, and everything she needed is included in the package, including the needle. The instructions are very detailed, and the included pattern helps keep count for those who are more detail-oriented. My daughter did not want to keep count, so she used the colors on the image as a guide instead, which worked fine for her.It says ages 6+, and that is accurate. My daughter is 6 and I couldn't imagine this being done by children much younger than her. Older children would enjoy this as well.

Got this for my 10 year old daughter for Christmas. I love it she loves it. Very easy and quick to do. She can easily follow the pattern stamped on the plastic and follow the easy read grid instructions that make sure the colors end up in the right place. She also easily threads the needle with the yarn and has been able to complete this 80% on her own.

I bought this for an 8 year old girl and her mother reported that she loves it. She loved learning how to sew and asked her mom if she could undo it so that she could do it again. Great price for a fun activity that has educational value and teaches a useful skill.

This is a great kit for kids because it is a great little needlepoint kit to learn with a fun design. It has bigger squares for beginners and everything included, even the frame. It's the perfect gift or just for that rainy afternoon or something for kids to do in the summer sun. It isnt overwhelming at all. The design is printed on the canvas and a guide comes with it so it is very easy to follow. I will definitely buy some more of these kits for my daughter until she is older and more skilled to try the smaller squared kits.

My Granddaughter just couldn't wait to try this one out. It got her hooked. I purchased this as a first time try out. She picked up on this quite well. Good for a first timer to see if they liked it. She sure did and now wants to go on to harder ones...
