I really like the larger size index cards for making lists around the house and these are fantastic for that purpose. The colors are nice and light so you can easily read ink or pencil writing. They are lined on one side and blank on the other which is pretty standard. I think that the thickness is pretty close to anything that I've used before. I know there are index cards that are thicker but these feel more like a standard thickness.I like that each color comes individually packaged so I can open one at a time and not have just a bunch of loose cards floating around my supply drawer.

These 4 x 6 size lined index cards in 4 colors are perfect for my needs. I'm using them for study cards. They are lined on the front and blank on the back. The cards are not as thick as some other index cards I've used, but they're plenty sturdy for my purpose. I consider the cards to be a good value for the cost.

I use a lot of lined index cards. These lines are set to wide like wide lined paper. This is great for younger students to write definitions on.Five colors can help work with a variety of classes or topics to identify information.

I prefer slightly stiffer cards, but these are satisfactory. Size, colors, and packaging are fine

These cards are a little on the thin side, although if you routinely throw out index cards it's probably just as well. I tend to keep mine around so I'm generally hoping for something more substantive. The good side is that usually I avoid color collections like this because colors like the cherry pink and the purple ones are generally too dark in color for me to read easily but these colors are very readable. Heavy markers will show on the reverse side of the yellow cards, but not too much. The other colors don't seem to show marker but the yellow does. I left a few of these cards on my desk and went to do a few things in the house. When I returned a couple of the cards had begun to curl at the corners, so my initial impression of their thickness was accurate. I'll use the rest, then perhaps go back to making my own on heftier cardstock.

I ordered this set of Colored Index Cards 4x6 Inch - Heavy Ruled Index Flash Cards for Studying, Lined Index Note Cards 4" x 6" with Colorful, Neon Colored Flashcards 4x6 Notecards 3 Pack of 38 - Pink, Green, Blue, Yellow four packs of colored index cards to use in my writing.I write fairy tale fantasy series under different pen names; one long wall of our basement is covered with index cards, where I plot and rearrange the story lines of my books. I’m a bit old school as a writer; I use my computer, but ai also write a lot with a pen on a pad, and I do paper edits in early drafts, and I like plotting with easy to rearrange index cards. This set of four packs of index cards are colored blue, pink, yellow, and green. One side is plain, the other side has a red line at the top and wide blue lines underneath. These are slightly thinner than the cards I usually use, but they work fine for my needs. There’s plenty of room for me to write major plot points on the blank side with a Sharpie; I use the other side to jot down notes about that scene of chapter.I like the various colors; many of my books are told from the point of view of more than one character, and I can assign a different color to each voice. It’s worth noting that not everything in the listing title is correct; these are not neon colors, they are pastels. Also, there are four packs of cards, not three.I’m very pleased with these cards; they’re just what I needed as I plot my newest book. Colorful, with plenty of space for writing, these cards are great for organizing plot, research, or anything else you put on index cards.

I wasn't paying attention to the size. They are the bigger index cards which is not quite what I meant to get. I did not take a star off for this as this is my foolish. I found them to be a bit flimsier than the ones I normally get which is why I gave it four stars. They work fine and are great for taking notes and keeping them well organized. The colors are nice if you are organizing content.

I would describe the thickness of these as very average for index cards- not the thickest and not the thinnest. In the 4x6 size, the cards come with each color individually packaged as well as an overall plastic package. That may be too much plastic for some, but I liked the fact that the cards of each of the four colors stayed sealed until I was ready for them, and I could reseal the color-sorted package once I had removed the card or cards I needed. My favorite thing about these cards - and what really distinguishes these from most 4x6 cards - is that the ruling is not the usual narrow/college ruling. It's a wide ruling. That means you have only ten ruled lines on the front of each card (the backs are blank) but I find it much easier to read my own writing when the ruling is wide rather than narrow. None of the colors are so dark as to obscure what is written on the card, but my favorite color was actually the green. I found it easiest on my eyes, and would have loved to be able to get a large quantity of just the green. The other colors were good, but the green was outstanding from an optical standpoint. I also found these cards (in all colors) took pen, pencil, and even extra-fine sharpees well.
