This gun really comes down to personal preference. If you want an authentic looking recreation of an actual Colt 1911 model, then this is not at all for you. However, if you like the way it looks and just want to shoot a bb pistol that hits a little harder than blowback models, you might really enjoy it. I was excited when I bought this gun because I liked the two tone barrel, the size and hitting power, and the Colt logo, but as I've added others to my collection and my tastes have changed, this has slid down toward the bottom of my list.First, the good- it hits a little harder than blowback style guns (since the CO2 doesn't have to move the slide back), the two tone barrel looks great, there is no Allen wrench to keep track of for the CO2 holder, it feels big and solid in your hand, and I think the imitation checkered wood on the grips looks realistic and beautiful.Now, the rest- the CO2 screw on the bottom of the grip makes it look like a wind-up toy (it's handy, but the way it looks drives me crazy), the slide doesn't go all the way back like it does on more realistic models, the magazine is a little hard to slide back to load, and this has almost no similarities with any of the real Colt 1911 models.I'm still giving it 4 stars because it works fine, other than being a little hard to load because the slide on the magazine can be hard to push back with your fingers (that's the only reason I took off a star). However if you're looking for something more realistic, I recommend looking at pictures of actual vintage 1911 pistols, and then looking for a KWC model that looks as close to it as possible; those are all field strippable, have a working palm grip safety, their slides go all the way back, and they usually look pretty authentic. My mil-spec looks so realistic that it's hard to tell it from the real thing, unless you see the front of the barrel or the CO2 set screw on the bottom of the grip.

My husband loves this BB pistol! The Co2 cartridge fits perfectly into the slide with BBs! The weight is like a real-feel gun! Couldn’t get a better looking Colt! The clip does wear down in time, especially to lock in place during a refill, so definitely will be buying a new clip after a few months. Overall, absolutely love it!

First of all I would like to say that this was probably the best customer service I have yet received on Amazon, very fast email replies. All my thanks go to BDB GearShop. This is my first C02 gun and i must say it looks and feels like a real 1911 colt, believe I shot the real one before so I know. I only used this gun without ammo since its still on a UPS truck.

Very nice, actually nicer than description. The company should tell you about the easily removed clip that holds the air tank plus the BB's without having to remove the grips to re air the pistol which is a very nice feature the don't tell you It also holds 20 BB's and I've fired 60 rounds and there's still plenty of power left. I believe that's because it's not a blowback slide and doesn't use near the air from re cocking itself each time fired. Very nice.

HIGun is great but the loader lock, tiny little tab broke. Cant get parts , if anyone knows how to get them be great. But good gun when works.. Hint use a little screw driver to pull back the spring if this happens...
