This is a review of "Command and 3M CLAW Hanging Solutions Kit", a pack of two different products for hanging pictures on walls.The first product included in this set is a pack of eight Command strips. These are staples for students living in dorms who want to hang stuff up on the walls without incurring damage fees ... and they work exactly as advertised and are easy to use. But definitely do the "critical steps to ensure hold" listed in the directions leaflet provided if you're hanging up a picture that's close to the weight limit or you might be disappointed by your frame falling down.The other product is not for dorms - there are three "Claw" drywall hangers for heavier frames. These should not go to the dorms as they are not damage-free. So if you buy this pack for your college student, best to get them to leave the three Claw hooks for hanging pictures up at home. The Claw hooks are easy to put up and do hold to the wall, but we didn't try anything that weighed quite as much as 45 pounds with the largest hook so can't say if the biggest one really does do 45 lbs.So a bit of an odd pairing for a set advertised as "dorm room essentials", but the included products are good quality. Just be aware that the Claw hooks are not damage-free and plan accordingly.

I like that I can have hooks without doing any damage to the walls or doors.I have some heavy pictures and getting the right size to handle the weight.

This is holding up amazingly months later.The claw clips are easy to set up and work fantastic. The command strips are super sticky and these claw things hold the most weight ive seen for command. They are also so small and easy to hide. I have not had to remove them so I can't speak to the difficulty of that. I know the strips come right off but im not sure how easy the claws are.You get a bunch of clips and strips so this is a great set for the value.
