I followed instructions from You Tube video, changed out this piece and my shifter was back to normal. I was tired of using a screwdriver to get my car out of Park!!! The Dealership want to charge me $1000 for a new shift console, no way!!!

Watched a few YouTube videos to find out what part I needed and located the required part through Google's assistance. Got this two-piece set for less than one at a big box auto shop. Follow the video, super easy to replace, fit perfectly, and functions as it should. It's been a few months now and is still working appropriately.

Had high hopes for this and totally failed me. I tore the car apart to put this in and once installed my car gave me a "No key detected error" put the old part on back in and the error went away. So now I still have the same issue but now with less money in my pocket. Don't waist your time.

This part is just what I needed to fix my Nissan Altima stuck in park problem. This comes with 2 switches one for the top and one for the bottom. The bottom one that connects with the green wire is what needs to be replaced. It will be the switch that has the larger plastic piece.

This is a known issue based on my research for the Sentra 2013, the gear can't move out from the P state because of this small electronic piece. Nissan doesn't sell it alone, you need to buy the whole gear which costs around U$400. It took 2 hours to disassemble and assemble it again but worth it.

We are so glad we took the chance and ordered this part on Amazon, following our gut that this would resolve the issue with our 2013 Nissan Altima shifter (didn't release/shift out of Park but worked on all other gears). Nissan refused to even listen to my valid concerns and hunch, jumped straight to the most expensive and worst case scenario. But based on my online research, many other 2013 and up Nissan Altima owner's had the exact same complaints, yet this issue has not formally been recalled so we have to cough up the money to even have it diagnosed. Most of the solutions to this problem was the solenoid. So we thought we could risk spending $50ish vs. $700+ (for the minimal problem) and it resolved my issue! Just YouTube how to open your panel and change it out.

The reason I give 4 star is because the upper switch didn't work properly and gave me I-Key error. I realize that I didn't need to change the upper switch to fix the locked shift, I disassembled again all compartment and replaced my old original upper switch back. Now, the I-Key error is gone. If the shift is locked, just change lower switch and it will work fine without having I-key error display. Hope it help to all having problems with I-key error message.
