This is a fantastic kit for anyone who wants to get started with sourdough. I've been using the products for about 3 months, and have been baking delicious breads, focaccia, discard cookies, and much, much, more. Normally with starter sets there are items that I'll never use, or that are poor quality, but that's not the case with this set. I haven't used the flour stencils yet, but everything else is great! Also, I accidentally threw out the jar lid, and when I contacted the seller, they promptly offered to send a replacement. Excellent customer service! I highly recommend purchasing from this company.

The key is great other than it actually gives you the wrong directions of how to complete your sourdough starter, so that was 10 days a waste of my time.

I am on Day 4 of feeding my starter per the instructions included in the kit. The instructions are easy to follow. I am excited to use the tools included, and try out the recipes in the recipe book provided. The cheesecloth lid that came with the kit is perfect for keeping particles out of the starter while allowing it to breathe. It has been rising more and more each day.I am very happy with this product.

The recipe booklet is very basic, I prefer finding reviewed recipes online that provide a bit more guidance for working with sourdough.The actual kit is very nice - the spatula is great for the glass jar, I love the measurements on the jar, but the band to keep track of feedings doesn't have Sunday on it. Several pieces of the kit are extraneous in my opinion, but it's nice to know I have them if I need them
