Overall the items in this kit appear to be as pictured and of good quality. I’ve not used them yet. The package was missing the aluminum lid. Not a huge problem, but I did plan to use it. Not sure how easy it’ll be to find one that fits.

Bought this kit to start making bread for family & friends. 200 loaves later, still using and mastered the craft of artisan breads! If your starting out? This is a good set.

A basic starter kit for sourdough making. Simple - decent quality

I was excited to start on my sourdough journey with this kit. It has a great jar, with easy to read markings, and a cool little band that tells you when you fed the starter last. The dough wisk, and Lame are well built, it even includes blades, with a small leather cover to protect your fingers. The digital thermometer included is nice, but I REALLY wanted to have the thermometer strip that sticks to the side of the jar, but unfortunately it wasn't included in my kit for some reason. Somewhat of a bummer, but not an end of the world thing. I have just started my starter last night, so hopefully this goes well. I do like the linen elastic "showercap" type lid cover that is included too, along with a silicone spatula. Overall, if they checked their packaging, this would be a good buy/value.

This is a great sourdough starter kit, it includes everything that you need for making sourdough within it! The glass jar is great, the temperature marker can be stuck to the outside of it allowing you to keep the correct temperature at all times and the band is snug around it as well allowing you to keep an eye on your starters growth! The dough whisk is wonderful when you go to bake and the spatula included is great for stirring your starter without sticking everywhere! It does include a bread lame, food thermometer, and scraper to assist in your baking as well! There are also multiple tops for the jar included as well, the 2 cloth ones are wonderful if keeping your starter out in the air and open and a sealing lid if you choose to put it in your refrigerator! Great quality to every single piece and a wonderful set for beginners, would make a great gift and is a wonderful value!
