Looks just like the product photos. Arrives in multiple pieces - you need to assemble the pieces (handle, post, auger), which attach with supplied bolts and wing nuts. All the components are metal (except the rubber coating on the handles - helps your grip), and the tool feels sturdy once together. The post is a little bit wobbly after assembly (probably because I tightened by hand), but doesn’t affect the tool’s performance. It works great I’m pretty easily penetrating the compost, and pulling up material to the top.It will definitely help with mixing - but won’t do the job as thoroughly as needed to mix compost for best results. First, the tool isn’t terribly long, so it won’t reach to the bottom of deep bins (not even half-way on my full bin). Next, it doesn’t really “mix” - just pulls stuff upwards. (For full composting, you need to move the inside stuff to the outsides, and the outside stuff to the inside, in addition to adding air.) This tool really helps, but should do more for this value.

We wanted this product for its Ben and aerator. We thought we were getting both, but only received the aerator.

Maybe this can be an auger, that's my hope. I would have to spin in reverse, slowly I would guess. I think some heat duct may be the right diameter. If not, I actually do have some compost type stuff to stir, and it will do that also. It came one screw and nut short, but I have these on hand and it's not a big enough deal to dig the product over. I would hope they read these and will check more closely. If I use it as an auger I won't need them.
