However, is this really an odor eliminator? Not in my case, but I'm not sure any of the products I've investigated are. And besides, without knowing for sure the cause of the odor, to be able to eliminate it is a tall order.I use this once per day with the hope that eventually it will somehow wear down the odor, which while hard to describe, seems common with air conditioning.

I don't know what's so special about it that makes it specific for HVAC systems. It's just a fresh smelling spray equal to any other deodorizer. Actually it's less concentrated and the scent or freshness goes away within a few hours of HVAC running. Next time I'll get the $4.97 household spray at my local store.

Used it for spilled gasoline on a felt surface - some of the smell remained. Also used it for pet urine on a rug and it worked great. I guess it depends on what odor you are using it for - pet smells are gone.
