They're definitely a fuse, but they're poorly made. When you extract one of these after inserting into the circuit, the plastic carrier separates from the fuse terminals, and then you have to use small pliers or tweezers to try and get the metal bits out of the socket. It's better to spend a bit more on a better made product.

These are hard to find in the stores. They never seem to have one size in quantities. They only have either 1 or 2 or in a pack of various sizes. These have worked great for me. No complaints from my so far.

Popped 7 fuses troubleshooting before I measured the current on my car’s 12VDC circuit. Circuit was only pulling 3.5A and I didn't see any inrush spike. Fuses were rated for 7.5A but blew early.

Fortunately they do work in my Honda, but they stick out and aren’t flush like the rest of the fuses. It sticks out a little bit and at first didn’t think it would work. Would not purchase again but with the many that have been sent won’t need to
