Went from Direct X equipped presonus dac to this and leagues different. I run Ableton as the DAW so I am writing this as a newbie who knows nothing about production but I know alot about writing and have recorded about 6 songs. Take this review with a grain of salt but for the newbies take it as biblical. If you are running windows, this is the device to get. If you are running Mac and need something portable, this is the device to get. Now, the physical UI and software UI are both user friendly, easy to engage the gain levels, and monitor live or digitally.I really like having both options as most interfaces are just digital. This thing is small and portable and while it won't be enough for someone a tape deck, 3 midi controllers, and a slew of other XLR equipped gear (it's got 1 XLR port), you do have a port for the guitar if you plan to go that route which is nice to have but may or may not be something I use.Newbs: I suggest watching videos of it on Lewitts website to get the concepts of how it works, but I love that it has ASIO built in on the hardware level. Much easier than downloading the wrapper interface and use software on top of software. The only "issue" I have is compatibility for my purposes. I have a Rhode Nt1 5th gen which has dual connect (usb-c and XLR) meaning if I want the 32 bit float to capture all bandwidth of the audio without clipping, I need the USB-C ran meaning it removes the digital and hardware interface controls for the dac on the microphone and instead I need to do it digitally on the daw interface through the Rhode download from their website. This doesn't diminish the capabilities of thing thing, but it would be nice to have another usb-c port to link everything up. Not sure if the float would work because that mic is basically a Dac in and of itself.Regardless, I have found everything easy and responsive on setting gain levels to effect volume output. I love this thing and very haply to have my equipment finally work with each other on Windows and talk properly (save for the minor thing above) but it's still an awesome experience as I can run the XLR cable out the mic and forego the 32 bit float and set things manually (which does mean it changes hoe my audio is ran inside of Ableton. Gotta be comfy with your daw to some degree but otherwise, it's borderline plug and play or close to it as you can get. Fantastic job Lewitt!

Decided to return because it doesn’t have stereo input. Really limits your game

I use this to record my voice and guitar for which it is perfect. The auto balancing and noise reduction is fantastic. However, I use this to do online lessons and to balance the audio received from the students, and my output audio is tricky. The touch pad control is very iffy, it’s not consistently responsive. It takes several tries to get the desired level.

Impossible to get a good level for singing vocals. I reduced volume of all tracks and it still reduces signal so much that it is impossible to unbury the vocals. Went thru set up process. Installed the software. It tries to control way too much. Do not buy it. In Logic had input cranked to top. Eating mic and signal was so low that I changed back to my M Audio pre amp mid session. Do not get this for music production.

Works exactly as advertised in the Connect 2 promotional videos, especially the Denoise feature (I was skeptical of it in a way but after using it I was blown away). There are only 2 tiny problems that I have with it that would lead me to give a numerical score 9.5. The first problem is that the High Impedance Headphone mode, while working really well, is still sort of noticeably not "Industry Standard" (definitely NOT a major takeaway though). The second problem is that the Lewitt Control Center application has to be forced closed, at least on Windows 11, instead of me just being able to click "X" to fully close the window. Other than that BRAVO Lewitt!!!

This is my new favorite audio interface and over the past 5 years I've been through perhaps a dozen including high-end ones from Universal Audio, SSL and others. It was trivial to set up and has worked flawlessly since day one. Other interfaces would occasionally need to be restarted. No issues with this.I also like the small size and that the wires are on the back. It's perfect for on my desk.I highly recommend it.
