Thats correct, I assumed it was 220v Dual phase L14-20 to 110v single phase 5-20 x4 connectors. I was wrong. this is 220v l14-20 plug to 4x 220v 5-20 plugs... good thing my equipment didn't just smoke when I plugged it in, because it saw 220v not the 110v I assumed it would be.The red and blue dots made me incorrectly assume that 2x 5-20 plugs were each wired to a single phase 110v but that is not the case at all, this plug still outputs 220v dual phase power at the 5-20 connectors, making this adapter basically only useful for my welder and plasma cutter on 220v with a basic extension cord, so in the end I will keep it, but it's not what I was originally after and had to order something else, and pay more attention to the description

Looks like going to work the output plugs are in two different directions so it gives you options for 110 or something else

well, it's made for a generator hook up SO guess what I used it for.Personally I think it's really stupid to review an extension cord!

This is perfect to convert the L14-20P outlet to three regular outlets. This is built tough and should give you many years of service.Make sure you check your outlet first! There is another plug shape that looks almost the same but is not compatible.
