I bought these years ago directly from Ringside / Combat Brands and hate them. They are too dense, weird shape, and the leather is low quality.Honestly, everything I've ever bought from this company has been terrible and their "Contender Palladium" gear, which they market as premium products, are not good.Skip this brand. It annoys me that Ringside pays for USA Boxing approval on some of their gear (not this product) and their stuff is all junk. Boxing as a whole is a mess now with market domination by a few junk brands and cronyism.

5 out of 10.First impressions of the Palladium were poor, for several reasons. The material is of very poor quality. Extremely thin layer of leather was used to fashion the key parts of these mitts. The punching/contact surface is also covered by this thin layer of leather, in fact, the "leather" looks more like faux or that plastic look-a-like leather. The draw string used to close the mitt's bottom is also of poor quality, a cheap shoe string cotton material that does not warrant its original over priced tag. The only section that does seem to do a good overall job is the finger cover which is made from a light material that will breath well during intensive mitt training. From a distance the gloves have a good appearance but the materials that went into these mitts are disappointing. The inner material used to absorb the punches are extremely light, and actually do an excellent job absorbing even the strongest, heaviest punch, but like mentioned above, the thin leather material is just in a such a poor state that I can't imagine these gloves lasting more than a few months for a serious trainer. The only positive aspect of these mitts are that they are extremely light and the inner material absorbs the punches very effectively. Overall, I can not in good conscience recommend these mitts to a serious trainer or boxer. The material is simply of poor quality and it seems the company was more concerned about cutting costs than constructing a quality lasting product.
