The pulley looked good except it had a 3/8 fitting instead of the 1/2 fitting the oem comes with. The oem was very smooth and easy to open. This continental tensioner was stuck seized. I could not get it to open. The car started moving from me trying to open the tensioner and I realized it was stuck broken. I decided to put the old oem back on the car until I get a good tensioner. Returning this asap. Tensioner should not be so hard to open you break a Rachet on it.

This is my third tensioner (different brands) that I replaced in the last 5 months, so far no vibrations or strange clicking noises, week spring or any other problems with this one, it is working as it should. If problems arise my review will be updated and the 5 star will be replaced with a 1 so for now you may assume all is good.In general stuff sold here with no big brand name behind them to guaranteeing the quality should be avoided. Chinese factories stamp out countless cheap marginal quality parts which are then sold by many different suppliers with no known brand name.Update - A year later and still no problems with this brand of tensioner. Continental Elite is a good brand.

Exact copy of OEM. Quality seems good. Pulley bearing on old unit was still fine at 218000 km, but spring was starting to get weak. A lot of force is needed to relieve tension; ⅜" drive ratchet is used, but a box end wrench is needed to get enough leverage. Old and new were exactly the same.

Perfect fit for my 2011 Infiniti G37 journey coupe. Now if it lasts that will be even better but it doesn’t believe me I’ll let everyone know !

I had to buy this tensioner because mine broke.... yes the tensioner fall apart with 83xxx miles. The OEM was really expensive. This one is more accessible and a really good quality. The reason I didn’t put 5 stars is that the stud that came with the tensioner said i had to torque it and it broke. So i had to disassemble the hole front of the car just to try to take the stud from the block of the engine. But the tensioner itself is really good
