Update:After a few weeks, both of these fell off of separate surfaces and the controllers crashed to the floor (no jostling, just middle of the night tumbles). Fortunately mine weren't up high on a wall like in the pictures, but this is an easy way to break some controllers. I tried to put them back up, let them sit a few days, but the adhesive just doesn't last.I had these on the inside of a Kallax shelf with perfectly smooth walls, and was using regular sized Xbox 360 controllers in this instance... so it'll definitely fall in your use-case also.ONLY use with the included screws. If you don't want to screw it to the wall, you'll need stronger adhesives than those provided.Original:I used these to hold a huge wireless original Xbox controller, and an even larger, strange wireless PlayStation 2 controller with airflow and fans built-in.It took both like a champ and could easily hold smaller controllers as well.The item has grippy rubber on the top to keep items from freely sliding, and it works for just about anything you’ll throw at it.Easy five stars.

I like(from pictures) you can either use the double sided wall tape or you can screw them into the wall. For me it was easier to just use the tape provided and it took all of maybe a min to get both holders up. They are very well made. It's nice to have somewhere to put extra controllers out the way; it makes for a nice setup
