I had a COOB scoop since 2018 and I am still very happy. I did like many of us did, take a wooden handle stick it in the hole put a screw in and go.Well, it was heavy after a while and when you detect the beach you are out there for several hours. When your young and though no big deal.However not so you people will appreciate this CooB Upgraded Travel Collapsible Light Strong Carbon Fiber Handle.pro:Light and durable, easy no super easy installation.Con:the middle connect button tends to rust after several month of use.

I am thrilled with my lightweight Ukrainian-made beach scoop with the carbon fiber handle! I don't think I could have found a more perfect one for me and I was concerned with the handle being too long since I'm 5'1. I have hand and arm issues and this has made my hobby easier! Many Thanks and I also love the idea that my money went to support their country.

The handle is lightweight and convenient for travel. It is not a handle I would recommend for use with a full size scoop. I bought this handle for use with a CooB Monstrik V1 scoop, a mid sized scoop, and it is a sloppy fit. This fit, in my opinion, is a recipe for disaster due to the stress points created by the sloppy fit. I contacted Coob on this issue and they suggested I wrap electrical tape around the handle until I get the fit I want. Not the answer I was hoping for. I have wrapped the electrical tape around the handle as suggested. Time will tell if it's a long term solution.Anyway, back to my review. If you're looking for a lightweight handle for occasional light use with a smaller scoop, this handle may be the ticket. I would not recommend this handle for larger scoops and every day use.

Very happy with the construction on this, and the shipping was incredibly fast! The linkages are all well fashioned; it is VERY lightweight as I had hoped, and even the individual bolts are perfectly crafted. Will buy from again!

Looks like a really great Hand crafted quality product from the Ukraine. Unfortunately it isn’t. In the six months I have had it it has snapped or cracked and split in six different places while using it with an average beach-scoop in wet sand. Carbon fiber is usually molded into a resin coating, but this product is too thin, next to no resin inside, and becomes brittle quickly. If you are using this with a small scoop it may last a year but don’t buy it for medium or large scoops. I reached out to the seller much earlier but they never responded back. I don’t recommend this product. Not good value for money.
