It is definitely great to have a thermometer when making lattes… But the face on the temperature gage is a little bit small to read easily. It has an arm on it to hook onto the cup but I find that the arm doesn’t work well in most of the espresso cups I am using. It is a good general thermometer but it just barely makes it acceptable to use just because the face is so small.

After researching the many thermometers out there for steaming milk, I decided on this one. I am totally happy with it. It is on the small side which I love because it doesn't get in the way of my view of the milk when steaming. It is a quick visual to stop steaming at the exact temperature every time for perfect results. The clip easily slides on and off of my steaming pitcher. Easy to clean with a quick rinse and then it's ready to go for your next cup. Absolutely love it!

I love this little thermometer. The clip allows me to put it on my electric kettle and stop heating at the right time for my coffee. I buy different roasts and having the right temperature prevents overextraction and brings out the right amount of flavor. There's no way I will make my coffee without ones of these babies again.

This is a Grade A thermometer if there ever was such a thing. It's very solid and feels sturdy when I clip in onto my steaming pitcher. The clip is easily removed for cleaning. Just be sure no to submerge the device completely in water. Warnings aside, it works like a charm and I am satisfied with my purchase.

This works really well. Love that the clip with attaches to the wall of the frothing pitcher is adjustable. You slide it up and down to get the tip of the stem as deep into the milk as you like and it holds very well, doesn't slip around or fall into the pitcher. You can spin the dial around to the angle you prefer so you can see clearly what the temperature is and everything holds nice and tight.

Terrible thermometer, huge delay in temp reading (6-11 degrees). I threw it out..

Good, basic thermometer. I use this when I'm making tea, and it seems pretty accurate so far. The only thing I don't like is how easily the dial fogs up in hot water. You'd think that some kind of anti-fogging technology could be used in the manufacturing process. Then again, that's only a minor quibble, especially with something so inexpensive.

Not too much to say on this one. It does what its supposed to do and looks neat while doing it. The clasp that attaches to whatever cup or mug or bowl you might be using moves up and down so you can still use it even on glasses the size of a shot glass.

Deadly accurate. If the whole shaft is inside the milk. Otherwise you get some inconsistent temperature readings. I used this a few times just to compare what it feels like to my hand. After that I ended up using it as a vent temperature gauge in the automotive field.Which actually works quite well. And since theres no different mediums contacting the different parts of the shaft (only air coming out of the vents) the readings are dead on.Reaction time to the gauge is pretty good. Not being digital, obviously there is a few seconds delay when switching from something hot to cold, but it isnt something to complain about when it only cost about 14 bucks.
