Many people use this for photography, which I did. I used this for my daughter's witch costume for trick-or-treating as well. She walked up to houses with a "smoking" cauldron and everyone loved it. Lasted longer than we thought it would. Looked great.

Good for photo shoots and small spaces. Definitely not strong enough to fill a room, but hey, it’s portable.I tried to use it to show air flow in low differential settings, but the oil dissipates a little too quick AND the ejection is too strong to allow background airflow to carry the mist before disappearing.I usually use it on the highest setting because any less wont put out enough smoke to have a cloud effect. I feel like I would need to run it a-lot on max to fog up a closet.So really, unless you are using some kind of exposure or contrast to catch fine mist, you may want to use this near the camera target.Only con, unfortunately, you cant really leave it filled and put it in the carry bag, it will leak oil out the top.The control buttons are multi functional, and aren’t labeled. But there’s only two buttons.. so it’s fairly intuitive.Otherwise, all of my friends are fascinated by this thing. And they all want one.

First, I couldn't find any instructions in the box or case that it comes with. It's not difficult to figure out but it's a pain in the butt.Yes there are 3 modes and it has 3 different lights showing you what mode you're in. I also found that the shroud covering the oil can come off too easily so watch that when you're using. The remote is a nice touch but unnecessary in most situations with a HANDHELD device.

I'm so happy I bought this mini fog machine! I need a portable device for taking cosplay photos, and this is perfect! it's easy to carry, and the fog is just what I wanted - thick but not too much. the different modes are very convenient. if you are in the market for a smoke machine that doesn't take up much space, this is the one!
