This bike trailer was okay. It set up pretty easily, and it folded down pretty compact as well. I wouldn't recommend if your kid is young or on the small side though. My son is 2 and very small for his age, unfortunately when sitting in this he slumped down so far and the seat belt was basically against his throat from the way the seat bows with weight. It was a little better from one of the side seats but had to return

I could see if the tured are over inflated there could be damage to the tire. Removing the wrapping front the push handle was extremely difficult. Be careful not to scrape the paint. The seat is not very supportive to keep the little ones in the upright position. It trails smooth. You hardly tell it is behind you. There could have been an additional piece added to the tire hitch to prevent it from rotating. Be sure to tighten your wheel lug well. Other than that my little guy loves it.

Easy to install and connect to the bike. Only needed to consult the user manual for the handle bar.

This thing is AMAZING! I assembled it in under 20 minutes. The transition between stroller and trailer is very easy and we will get more than our money’s worth. It connects in the left side of the back wheel to the bike so make sure your frame doesn’t have obstructions like a fender support bar such as my wife’s bike.

When our first child was born several years ago we purchased the co-pilot bike trailer, anticipating lots of use. However, given that we had several more children in a short period of time, we only have been able to use the trailer a couple times - max - per year for short neighborhood rides. This summer was the first one we finally were looking forward to getting a lot of use out of the trailer. We now have two toddlers and on the very first ride two of the straps on the seat back broke as the kids were sitting down. On the next ride, the last strap broke off, rendering the seat and the trailer completely useless. As you can see in the picture, a couple of the straps even broke off in the middle somehow. Our two kids are both under 30 pounds. Very poor craftsmanship. After talking to our bike shop about this, they suggested calling Co-Pilot directly as they said they should be able to take care of us. Even if the one year warranty had expired you don't expect something as basic as seat straps to be sheared off from a couple toddlers through minor use. However, the Co-Pilot customer service rep was very unfriendly on the phone and his exact respond to my description of the situation was: "There is only a one year warranty so you can't expect it to last much longer than that. Time to buy a new one." Seriously? If you want to purchase a Co-Pilot product for one year of use, good luck. Lots of better options out there.

Great bike trailer and excellent price! Very easy to collapse/fold. Even the wheels come off. Very user friendly. Love the extra storage behind the seat and the solid construction. Our 18 month old son loves taking rides in his bike. Have recommended highly to other friends and family looking for a bike trailer. Also, as a bonus, it can be converted to a stroller. Originally posted July 2017.Update 8/10/18: We've been putting this bike trailer through HEAVY use in the last year. I even converted it to a Cross Country Ski trailer so we could take our son with us during the loooong Rochester winter months. It's traveled all over the country with us and can take quite a beating. Highly durable. Not a single issue. At 2 1/2 years my son still loves it! I am wicked impressed with the quality of this bike trailer and rave about it to family and friends looking to purchase one!
Always curious

I bought this trailer to pull my 40 lbs son behind my specialized road bike. Upon receipt, I was able to unload, put together, and begin pulling the trailer within 20 minutes. The design is intuitive and the pins easily insert into their designated positions. It is nice that if the bike unfortunately tips over, the trailer hitch is designed with a spring and the trailer is unaffected. The yellow neon covering is easy to see, and very easy to velcro to the frame with space for storage behind the double harness seat. On level ground, I cannot even tell I am pulling a trailer, but going uphill, it gives me a workout!I have had some challenges with the trailer including hearing my son when riding! I put the "bug flap" down to keep him warmer on cool morning rides but I cannot hear what he says because of the wind/tight seal of the trailer. Also, my son is tall for his age (40 in), and with a helmet on in the trailer he is already hitting the roof and back of the seat. He doesn't mind, but I don't know how long I'll be able to keep him in the trailer. Finally, the conversion kit for the jogger wheel mounts upside down. The pilot holes are reversed so the jogger wheels point upward instead of to the ground. I was still able to tighten the wheels to the frame for a casual walk, but I would not be comfortable running behind it. I have not contacted CoPilot yet regarding this issue. However, the handlebars are very easy to connect to the frame with two screw-down clamps. Walking behind, the trailer is very smooth to push/steer.Overall, I love the ability to spend quality time with my son while being able to exercise. He loves seeing the sights and going on adventures. The stability and overall visibility/ease of use make this a great family trailer. I only gave 4 stars because of the poor jogger wheel design.

I hesitated on purchasing this with the limited reviews that were available. Don't hesitate, this trailer is awesome! I looked at quite a few brands and even some used ones at a consignment shop. I ended up picking this one because I know the brand from the bike seat we had previously, the wheels are not plastic and it is reasonably priced. It was very easy to put together (took maybe 30 minutes with distractions from the kids) and hooked right up to my quick release axle. The canopy has shaded visor that pulls back to a screen that will be great in warmer weather. It is velcro so you do need to completely undo the canopy to let kids/animals/whoever you are towing in and out. I ride leisurely (i.e. not triathlon training) and really only notice I'm pulling something on hills. The kids and I are looking forward to lots of rides with this!
