I’m just a homeowner, doing a DIY ground rod installation. The code in my area requires two 8 foot rods, so I’ll have enough clamps with this set to connect both rods and get the ground wire to the panel. The clamps are perfectly suited for the job. I slipped one over a 5/8 ground rod, and there’s plenty of clearance. That could come in handy if you mushroom out the top of the rod while pounding it in. The body of the clamp looks like bronze, and the screw is less magnetic that a mild steel screw I from my nuts and bolts jar, confirming that it is stainless steel.As-advertised and no quality flaws makes these a five-star item.

This clamp is just what you need to attach the #4 solid copper ground wire to the 5/8" grounding rod near your electrical meter box. It is made of corrosion resistant material. It is beefy enough that it will not snap when you snug it up.
