this is great for protecting planters from slugs and such, which are a huge problem in my area. It's easy to use, but does a good job.

I have two uses for this copper mesh.I recently found a hole that mice are using to get into my basement. I stuffed it with steel wool, but that is now rusting so this copper mesh will make a great replacement. The main use I plan to use the rest for is keeping snails out of my strawberries. I waste lots of money on snail bait that really doesn't work effectively. My internet research said a width of 5 inches of mesh should work so I figure this is perfect. As an added bonus it is tubular so basically it is like a double mesh barrier.I really hope this works, since I lose about 25% of my crop to the snails.

This copper mesh roll is very long at over 100 feet. This would be a great role for anyone that needs it for hobbies. I am using it to seal up all the walls on the underside to prevent mice from entering. It is very easy to work with and easy to cut. I highly recommend this role size if you have a lot of wall space you need to seal up.

My cabin has a metal roof. Somehow, bats have managed to find an opening somewhere under the ridge vent. The roof is a 12/12 pitch so I’m planning to cut some pieces of this mesh, make a tootsie roll, and use a pole to push them under the ridge vent between the roof ridges. As it’s the middle of January in northern Michigan, this job will have to wait until spring, but I’m cautiously optimistic.

I love finding simple, practical solutions to everyday problems, and the HEYTIMI Copper Mesh Rodent Control Roll is a perfect example of that. We’ve had our share of issues with rodents in our backyard garden, particularly with rabbits and mice, who always seem to have an eye on our tomatoes. While I initially set up a fence to keep our year-old puppy, Megalodon, in check, it didn’t do much to keep the smaller, pesky animals out. The idea of protecting my garden without the hassle of traditional methods, like hardware cloth, was something I had been searching for, and I finally found it in this product. The key difference between this copper mesh and hardware cloth is that it’s rustproof. I had concerns about using hardware cloth because, over time, it would inevitably corrode due to its exposure to the ground, leading to weakened welds and eventual breakage. The copper mesh from HEYTIMI, however, resolves this issue, offering a long-lasting solution without the worry of rust eating away at it. It’s made of pure copper, which is more resistant to corrosion, making it perfect for outdoor use in the garden where moisture is always a factor. I’m happy to say that the mesh has been holding up beautifully so far, even in the rainy season here in Southern California. Not only does the copper mesh serve the same purpose as hardware cloth—keeping rodents, bats, birds, snakes, and snails out—but it also has a more discreet look. It’s much thinner than the quarter-inch hardware cloth, so it blends in better with the natural environment of the garden, particularly as it picks up a greenish patina. Plus, it’s easier to handle and cut with tin snips, which makes installation a breeze. I was able to cut it to fit around different openings in my garden and around the base of the fence without much effort. The real test came at the end of the season when I took down the fence. Even though I had used nylon zip ties to secure the copper mesh, it stayed perfectly in place on each fence panel, and it was just as sturdy as the day I installed it. It’s a relief to know that I don’t have to worry about corrosion, and I can store it away in my shed for next season, knowing it will still be in great shape. If you're looking for an effective, rustproof, and easy-to-use solution for keeping rodents out of your garden, this copper mesh is an excellent choice.

I have a prospective special use for this copper mesh. For multiple years, I've had problems with algae growing on the north sides of my vinyl-sided houses. Pressure washing usually removes it, but it always comes back, probably because there is essentially no sun to counteract it. My neglect to pressure wash the north-side siding this year has left the wall especially stained with algae.I read some years ago located that attachment of copper above the algae-growth area can inhibit the growth. Presumably, even the small concentration of copper ions that get created by rainwater can inhibit growth of the algae. An observation this past year of shiny copper strips on a new roof atop a house in the woods reinforced that possibility. Therefore, fastening a belt of this copper mesh product to the siding near the top of my house – holding it in place via the spring tension present at overlap joints between siding panels — may, over extended time, inhibit or even reverse algae growth. As rain contacts the copper at the top of my siding, copper ions will presumably flow at least partially down the side of my house, hopefully poisoning the algae. Before going gung ho with installation of this mesh — more precariously near the top of the north side of my present house — I decided to do the test shown in the accompanying photo. I attached a one-foot piece of the mesh above a notably-algae-soiled section of siding. Moreover, note that at the bottom of the subject area, substantial algae has also deposited on the air conditioner electrical box. If the copper mesh works in this application, presumably I will notice a reduction of algae after some extended time since installing the mesh. And although the mesh will detract slightly from the appearance of the siding, it clearly will look a whole lot better than all that algae.Unfortunately, it's winter here, and I don't expect a huge amount of biological change to the algae until the weather warms up. Therefore, I'm reviewing this product now a bit prematurely. However, even considering the design of this copper mesh, and the substantial probability that it will do some good, I have judged it to be a very good candidate for algae control. Therefore, though present uncertainties limit this review to less than a a full five star rating, I feel justified in giving it a four-star rating at this point. If at some future point I indeed observe the copper mesh having mitigated my algae problem, I may update this review at that time.
