Some of the wines you're accessing with your Coravin have been in their bottles for quite a few years, so the aeration certainly helps speed up the breathing process.

I bought four, intending to give them as gifts. You are supposed to be able to dismantle the item (for cleaning) by unscrewing it. See the photo I attached. When I received the items, none were able to be dismantled, so I returned all four.

* Fits* Rate of flow requires lots of argon to make it go* Works, but not great, I think just letting it sit in glass for awhile will aerate as well maybe* Cute gadget to use at a dinner party though

I love this aerator. It can really open up most wines. I like the Coravin system but was disappointed when I watched youtube videos on how to use and saw many came with an aerator. Since I had always bnb used an aerator before using Coravin system I decided to buy this even though I thought it was a bit pricey. Well I have used it several times and it makes a big difference. Better than my other aerator that I used without the coravin system. This made my Coravin even better. Great aerator.

Very high-quality, easy to use, and works extremely well. I have not had any problems with clogging, but have no used on wines with a lot of sediment either. Pricey given the cost of other highly rated wine aerators, but it’s certainly nice to have an integrated and complete Coravin system.

Works great, shame it's so pricey. But then so is all the rest of the Coravin line, so it's not like you're going in unprepared.

Changing my review to 5 stars. Coravin promptly sent me a replacement aerator, and it actually works like the video - clean streams not requiring a lot of gas (they asked to get the old one back to examine it which I took to be a good sign of quality control). Very pleased with the customer service - people make mistakes, the key is how you work to fix them. Thank you, Coravin!I love my Coravin - I just sampled a bottle that I last drank from over two years ago and it still tastes fresh. I thought the aerator would be a great improvement, but as others have written, the "flow" from the aerator does not resemble the video in the least! Mine dribbles out and requires so much pressure from the unit to even get said dribble that I worry about cracking the bottle. When I remove the aerator, there is an audible hiss from the Coravin if it is still inserted in the bottle. My understanding is an aerator will take an hour out of decanting, so, I now pour an hour earlier than normal. It beats wasting $20 on a cartridge! Coravin, I will be a customer for life, but your aerator is crap!
