Works as it should to protect the male end of the truck block heater.

After many years of pulling the plugs out of engine compartments and having to clean the plugs, I purchased one for my skidsteer and one for my JD tractor. They fit perfectly and the ability to attach to the cord is great.Highly recommend to extend the life of you heater plugs

Too expensive for such a small simple thing though useful

I got this for the 2' extension cord for my RAM Turbo Diesel truck. I needed it a little bit longer to stick out of the bumper, but I also wanted a proper cap for it to keep the sand/salt off the plug end. Works well, and looking forward to my truck being a little happier starting this winter. Great product.

I put one of these on my block heater cord on Tuesday, I used it on Wednesday, and on Thursday when I went to pull it off the plug, the loop part broke (with only a small tug.) These are made to go on block heater cords, which are used in extremely cold weather, the plastic used to make these are obviously not made for extremely cold weather. It is also very tight on my plug, and very difficult to pull off, which is also a problem since the plastic is so brittle, so even a small tug could break it.

This cap is not made of a synthetic rubber. It is, in fact, made of a plastic! The seller/manufacturer need to correct this given that in the world of materials engineering the differences are clearly defined, and I purchased based on an assumption of an accurate product description. What being plastic means is that the cap is not very pliable so it will not fit the male cord end well or provide a weathertight seal like a factory, synthetic rubber, block heater cord cap. Further, come cold weather this cap is certain to be practically useless without this flexibility. Truly disappointing purchase and I feel 'stuck' with it given the low dollar value versus risk to return during COVID19 doesn't make sense. For those interested, I needed a replacement for a 2015 RAM 3500 Cummins block heater cord.

I would have bought more is it had been more reasonably priced. One other issue is the plastic is brittle for Canadian winters. A more supple mater would have helped.WarrenT

I use this to protect the engine block heater power plug for my John Deere tractor. The cover uses the ground prong as the means of holding the cover in place. You do have to use some force to affect a seal, but it seals well. During the winter, I move a lot of snow and slush with this tractor, sometimes when it's snowing and blowing. When I pull the tractor back in the arena to plug it in, the plug is absolutely dry. It works just fine.Secondly, the strap has a long slot that makes it easy to get over the three-prong plug. It stays on the plug reasonably well, but if you use this on a vehicle, you should make sure it's fastened to the plug when you're in motion. These is enough "slop" in the slot to allow the cover to work it's way off the end of the plug if buffeted by fast moving air.

Fits snugly on my 3-prong cord. It only covers the metal prongs and not the entire plug. It's also soft bendable material so this is to protect your prongs from the elements and not to protect them from being crushed. If that's the product you're looking for then this works great.

In really cold weather it stiffens up. The cap does not stay put over the block heater plug - kept on coming off even after a short distance of driving. Total waste of money.
