I was looking for a stronger High density boning to provide enough support for the corset I'm making but didn't realize until I saw the sticker on the outside of the package that says LOW DENSITY. The product description said NOTHING about this and the actual plastic boning is 1/4in but you have to remove it from the fabric casing, otherwise it is 1/2" wide.I hope that I can still make this work for my project but it's not was I was expecting.

I bought this to hold the shape of hundreds of face masks made by hand and donated to a local school. Worked just fine.

That value for the product, made very well and extremely easy to use. I made a corset dress for the Renaissance fair this year and I ended up needing a lot of boning, so this worked out perfectly and I have a lot left over for my next projects.

Absolutely love! I get this boning for all my corset belts and it is super easy to sew and work with. It is also super easy to iron in the casing too.

Making a corset and ran out of boning that I got from Joanns. I was surprised to see how cheap this was, but the finished product was awesome!! The casing around the plastic didn't leave a lot of space to sew, but it also didn't fall off easily like the stuff I got from Joanns.

This is exactly the same stuff you'd buy at Joann's for six dollars a yard--but here it is much less expensive. It's a good boning for most apparel applications, being flexible enough to bend with your body, and stiff enough to support, say, a strapless bodice or row of grommets. It's not really great for scaffolding, but I was able to make a serviceable farthingale by doubling the amount of boning. That might sound outlandish, but given the price and quality of so-called "hoop steel" these days, it's cheaper and sturdier to use two rolls of plastic boning instead of one roll of hoop steel.

I have not used this product as of yet. I sew a lot so I order things that I feel I will need in advance. I needing boning for a wedingdress I was making and could not find it. OUCH so I ordered this one and a white one to keep around so I don't go with out. From what I can tell I will be happy with this product if more felexable then other boning products.
