About this item

  • FOR HOME OR COMMERCIAL USE: The Coxreels PC10 (power cord) series allows easy access to electrical extension cords in the garage. Suitable for industrial work or at home—the reel easily mounts on the wall, floor, or overhead space.
  • EASY TO CARE FOR: The component cover is made with heavy gauge CPC powder coated steel for quick slip ring maintenance. No need to remove the reel from the mount when it’s time to service—the cover is external and easily accessible.
  • CONVENIENT DESIGN: A 5’ continuous radius grommet style power cord guide keeps your cable from pinching or kinking while in use, with a solid rubber cord stop to extend to the desired length. The reel also includes a 30’ power cord and grounding plug.
  • FEEL THE POWER: The enclosed spring motor is factory tuned and matched, letting you extend the cable and fully retract when you’re done. This model is rated at 13 AMP and 115 volts, but the slip ring is rated at a max of 25 AMP and 600 volts.
  • SHOP RISK-FREE: With over 90 years of experience, Coxreels provides reel solutions that exceed industry standards with quality you can trust! We’re so confident it can get the job done; each purchase is backed by a 2-year manufacturer’s limited warranty.

Returning, it's a $310 retractable reel with questionable powers of retraction. I have used the PC 17 series for years: Honestly the extra $40-50 brings orders of magnitude better quality, more versatile mounting options and a much strong spring "motor". I love Cox (I know, I just said I love Cox...let it go) products, use their reels in many applications and being an AZ boy wish them nothing but the best...this one is a bit of a let down

I bought the PC10 3012-B direct from COX several years ago for my garage shop. The power tools I have all pull 15 amps so the 20 AMP model is essential, to avoid tripping a 15 amp breaker. At the time, Amazon and the big box stores only carried light weight reels, that didn't look as though they would last. The COX PC10 is an industrial weight real that didn't cost an arm and a leg. I installed the PC10 overhead near the center of the shop area and is in easy reach to all areas of the shop. The existing outlets were installed on the walls of the shop area and limited where I could place my portable power tools. This is a great addition to my shop. Works really well.

I love this reel, but had to replace my A/C receptacle to one that would accept a plug with one vertical blade and one horizontal blade, which is NOT what is shown in the photo of the item on Amazon. This is a robust and well-built unit, and the only reasons I give 4 instead of 5 stars is (1) this plug issue and (2) its high cost.

We had bought 3 reels , the spring tension is not that great and the wiring on two units were pulled out of the connectors, I had to open up and fix them.
