I bought this for my son to make gifts for family. It did turn out really cute and Grandma loved it. It was a little more challenging to do than I thought it would be. If the string isn't wrapped "just right" or held in place "just right"- then it comes off the head of the pin, and sometimes several others as well. That became frustrating for my son, because his work came undone. We worked through it though!I would definitely recommend it to others- take into consideration your child's abilities for their age :)

It came with 3 art pieces to make.Got for my 7 year old niece. She and her cousin (same age) both needed a little help (only slightly) and when it was finished they both felt very proud of their handiwork and both took them home. A great buy, and it passes the time since I was babysitting that afternoon.

Cute craft for young teen but the pins bend or fall out easy. I loved that it already had the holes marked out where to put the pins but it's not sturdy enough to keep the stuck pins from falling out or bending while running the string.

A bit of a struggle to get started but shyer that AWESOME .. Used just recently when my grand daughter had the flu . Just enough activity when she still wasn’t quite up to par . Bought for 6 yo grand daughter. Would work well for 6-12 yo I’d say .

My Granddaughter asked for one of these for Christmas and she loved it. She was working on it before we even had Christmas brunch. She is 12 so I thought perhaps it would be a bit young for her, but not so. She loves crafty stuff and was very happy with this.
