These were great on an ice winter hike. Lots of grip. They did slide a bit on the boot. Had to adjust them once during the hike.

These have saved me from several nasty falls on ice in the winter!! I strapped these on to my hiking boots and regular sneakers ( in a pinch) and they have worked fabulously!!!I would totally recommend these to anyone who is looking for a cheap but HIGHLY effective solution to ice and hard- to traverse hiking paths.Easy to clean, just hose them down and set to dry.Easy to slide on-- just insert your shoe toe first and stretch these over the back of the heel for a secure fit!Enjoy these, like I have!! These are great for you and any hiker buddies ( They make a great gift!)

We purchased these for a trip to Colorado in early May. We ended up hiking a total of 25-30 miles using these spikes and they held up great. These made walking on compacted snow and ice a breeze. They are just as good as options selling for double the price.

Here in northern New England, we've been getting more ice and less snow than in decades past. After 60 years of age, falls loose their humor. After 70, we're talking life-changing risk by just walking to your car over a little patch of ice. I have tried the highly advertised slip-ons with little metal bumps on the bottoms. With the first brand, the rubber broke after two wearings. On the next brand, I was very lucky to be close enough to my car to grab the handle on my way down. Threw then out. Then, the UPS or FedEx guy bounds across the ice in my driveway with two big packages. I asked him how did he manage to stay upright. He pointed at these crampons. I ordered a pair from Amazon that day, and they have been great. Just remember to walk flat-footed on ice. In other words, not heel-toe. On snow, any way is fine.

Much cheaper than the better known brands, this actually fits my size 10 trail runners better than another much better known brand in which my shoe size was in between spike sizes, resulting in buying the larger size that ended in the back half of the spike set riding up the back of the shoe heel during vigorous snow hiking. I only used this off brand once in snow and it worked well, but I cannot attest to long term usage. It also comes with an extra strap to tighten it on the shoe - it is 'hidden' at the bottom of the package, so look for it as it doesn't come preattached to the main product.

I bought a pair (Large) of these for my size 8.5 walking shoes, a pair (XL) for my husband’s size 11 walking shoes. Mine fit perfectly; his were a little snug but worked. We hiked in Colorado 9 miles through snow and ice up to over 11,000ft elevation and experienced five incredible mountain lakes, all without slipping even once! We are so impressed! Bravo for this well-made, low-cost product!
