I randomly recalled having these as a child, coloring on my grandmothers floor with these metallic crayons. I am so happy to see they still exist, and with the same quality! The sparkles are the same as always and the colors are pigmented.

As awkward it’s crayola, you can’t go wrong :) The FX crayons have a super smooth feel and glide on, weather your a kid or an adult these crayons are a step above.

This box of crayons contains 16 unique colors that are not included in the large box of 120 crayons. This box does include a silver, bronze, and gold like the 120 box, but they look different and have different names. The colors come out very smoothly on paper and have some sparkle to them. There is no overlap with the crayons in the glitter pack. The box and crayons themselves look great. My only (very minor) issue is that the crayon wrappers look like they've been sitting in a warehouse for 30 years. Several wrappers are faded and yellowed, or the crayon color is seeping into them. But none of the wrappers are loose, it's purely an aesthetic thing.I would definitely recommend these to augment your crayon selection.

These crayons are really cool. They don't come in any crayon packs already out there unless you buy the largest crayola set offered. They make a great compliment to any crayon set and are great for any person looking for some different crayons. They can color on black paper, but the effect may not be as bright as you imagine. You may have to use a certain kind of paper to get them to work. You can see the glitter when coloring on white paper or in a coloring book but you have to look at it from the right angle. These are getting hard to find and I wasn't able to find them in any local store, so I ordered them here. Surprisingly they arrived undamaged and perfectly in tact. Mine were shipped in a bubble envelope. They are awesome, a highly recommended buy.

I bought these for paper-crafting as I am too mean to shell-out for gilding-wax. They are great for highlighting raised areas on embossed projects - different effects can be had using heat-gun or hair-dryer ...... super range of colours. Love them!

I got these as backup for my 152 set. I love the colors and the glitter in this is more smooth than glitter crayons (but the colors don't overlap ). They have enough shades to add sparkle to some parts of my projects and match well with many sharpie colors (I draw sharpie outline things to color then color them for my art and having a sparkly foreground that matches the sharpie colors is important. ) For a wider range of colors, pair with glitter crayons.

Ever since I gave Crayola metallics to her, my granddaughter has used them almost exclusively despite the availability of other crayons, markers and colored pencils. The colors are unusual and subtly sparkly but they could be a bit more sparkly for her taste. One caution - these do not wash out well from clothing.

1 - Select a color - or several colors from the box of Metallic Wax Crayons2 - Cover an electric hostess "warming tray" with foil wrap - Try to keep foil smooth without wrinkles........... UNLESS THE WRINKLES COULD BE PART OF THE DESIGN.3 - Plug in the tray and heat to a "medium temperature -- CHILDREN NEED SUPERVISION WITH THIS PROJECT.4 - When foil wrap is warm enough melt desired colors in separate little puddles (depending on the size of your design). Wearing protective gloves, make an abstract design with the melted wax on the foil wrap. DO NOT let the melted wax dry. 5 - Gently press blank card stock face-down on the melted wax and enjoy your abstract art work for a personalized card.
