NiftyKEYZ’s flexible MIDI implementation enables the use of each of its 4 CV + Gate outs as either a part of a fully patchable polyphonic instrument or on their own monophonically. Additionally, each voice can be split across multiple MIDI zones on the keyboard. For example, it is possible to create a 4 voice polyphonic instrument across the whole range of the instrument or a 3 voice instrument in part of the keyboard, while splitting another voice into a monophonic instrument elsewhere. The possibilities just begin there. NiftyKEYZ also has a plethora of powerful performance functions that add expressivity and flexibility. These include but are not limited to a multi-mode arpeggiator, multi-mode clock synced LFO, aftertouch, velocity, sustain/latch mode, internal clock, expression out, and much more. All of these performance features are tied to CV outs, providing an unprecedented amount of modulation and control possibilities. With all of its’s extra utilities, adding dimensions of depth to instruments is super easy. NiftyKEYZ’s CV & audio capabilities don't end with its performance capabilities. I bought a B-stock one of these when I was in the market for the niftycase. Absolutely no regrets. It does exactly what it is supposed to do, and it can do a lot! I am a tune percussionist with also some experience playing keyboards, so having a keyboard-based synth case really helped me get into modular!The multiples across the top are a nice touch which I use a lot, and are probably the reason I haven't needed a module to do this.I can't wait to get another VCO in there so I can start experimenting with polyphony.Overall, I would save up and buy this again at the list price if I had to.

I did run out of power with 1/2 modules being power hungry digital modules, but that is not a defect, and this thing is solidly built and a great value- would purchase again

Update: Cre8Audio Support did get back to me shortly after I wrote this review and advised sending the unit back via Amazon Support again. I worked with Amazon to have it shipped back and refunded. In the end, Cre8audio Support got it done even if it was a bit of a hassle, so I'm adding a star back.The first unit I received was physically broken right out of the box. It didn't have any visible problems, but there was a broken piece loose in the key bed that would shift if you moved the keyboard. Aside from the rattling noise it made, it would also wedge itself in to the keyboard in ways that would block key movement.I sent that back immediately (didn't even plug it in) and received a second unit that didn't have that problem. It worked fine for a couple of months. But last week some internal electrical component failed and the control and CV portion of the keyboard no longer function. It will power up the modules, but will only emit a constantly descending tone (it is unresponsive to key presses). Also, it doesn't go through the standard cycle when it turns on (cycling through the lights on the Arp, Latch, and Function keys); only the Latch and Function keys light up, but very dimly and they do not respond to presses.I tried a factory reset, but it doesn't even power up to a point where those controls are active. I tested the power in the rails, and that seems to be fine. And the power out of the power supply from the wall is fine. So it's something in the CV and control part of the unit.I sent all of that data to Cre8audio last weekend via their support form, but didn't receive a response (even an automated confirmation). I also emailed them at a presumptive support address. I did get a response to that on Monday saying they'd research and get back with with me ASAP. But despite repeated check-ins from me this week I've had no further response.I want to like this keyboard, but it seems like it may have been a waste of $600.
