Did not come with filament as per description. The seller reached out and is sending me some filament. The printer is excellent. The printer build is clear. The filament holder set up is very unclear. Go to youtube to get instructions. This is the fastest, best quality printer I own. I have had 2 other creality printers and currently 1 elegoo. This one is by far the best.

I think this printer offers an amazing value among resin printers. The hardware is extremely solid for a machine in this price range and it has some very important upgrades over many similarly priced resin printers on the market today. This is my first resin printer, but I have been printing with FDM printers for a few years now. Most of the things I print I sell so good print quality and reliability are both very important to me, as is value. I have been happy with Creality for my other printer so when they came out with the LD-002R it deserved to be considered. I realize there are printers out there with fancier features such as a monochrome screen or LED lens array lighting. The LED lens arrays seem like an upgrade but can be problematic and cause uneven curing so I didn't value them especially high when comparing machines. The monochrome LCD's are an improvement over color LCD's but at the time the machines available with monochrome LCD's were either cheaply built or much more expensive than the LD-002R.The build quality of the LD-002R is phenomenal for the price. The extrusion holding the linear rail is solid and well anchored to the all-metal frame. The linear rail used is large and of good quality so there is no chance of Z wobble or unwanted flexing as the print is peeled from the vat. If you are not familiar with resin printing what happens is the build plate comes very close to a clear-bottomed vat of resin and a single layer of your print is cured at a time. Between each layer the printer peels the print from the plastic at the bottom of the vat by raising the print up and then lowering it back down almost as far as the previous layer and begins curing another layer. I wanted a machine that had a very well built mechanism for raising and lowering the vat, as well as holding the build platform, and Creality really delivered here when compared to the competition. The build platform is another great upgrade with the LD-002R. It is angled at the top so the excess resin drains off after your print finishes so cleanup is easier and you waste less resin. The way the platform mounts to the Z axis means you pretty much don't have to level it. I did, just to verify that it came leveled correctly from the factory, but I haven't had to bother with it since. The 4 point system used to level and secure the build plate is very sturdy once tightened but still allows you to precisely level the build plate. The rest of the build quality of the LD-002R is great. The frame is solid and made of metal, the orange plastic cover is thick and well built, not like the glorified trash bin covers on some machines. The screen is clear and the electronics are fast. I have had no problems with even the most complex designs that nearly fill the build volume. Oh yeah, and the build volume is often misquoted online. I am able to print up to 68x 121x160mm. Creality didn't do any hokey things either with mounting the LCD like using electrical tape to hold it in like you see on some machines. I am hopeful that at some point Creality offers a monochrome upgrade for the LD-002R like they have supported their other FDM printers in the past by offering upgrade kits, but even then the monochrome screens only cut maybe 30% off your print time because the reduced cure time doesn't take into consideration that each layer needs to be lifted and lowered between curing each layer. The 40W LED's allow me to print pretty quickly already and I prioritize the better print quality that comes from having a more sturdily built machine than shaving a few minutes off my print times.

The Creality LD002R is a great, well set up machine. If this machine fits the size of building/making you do, its really a solid choice. The filter seems to really help, and coupled with a low odor resin makes bedroom printing tolerable. Its well spec'ed and competitive in the price range. A power button, USB slot, and LCD being convenient to use are actually hard to find in a tabletop resin printer, but this printer delivers. I would fully recommend this unit to others if the size is right for you. Price not withstanding the only other printer that offers something substantial at the same price is the Prhozen Sonic Mini. Figure out what means more to you, the monochrome LCD and speed of the Sonic Mini or the well thought out, solid, effectively all metal construction of the LD002R.

I've been FDM printing for a while, this was my first resin printer. It has so far been overall a great experience. My friend bought a Photon S and I've had more successful prints than he has with this for half the cost.Good things:- The all metal body is a nice feel and feature that you don't see in many printers currently and definitely not in this price range.- Leveling is a breeze, you simply loosen the 4 side screws, push home, tighten the 4 side screws, done.- Parts feel pretty durable (screws, knobs, z-rail, etc)- I've had only successful prints (except one where it was entirely my fault).- Can use any resin you want- Native ChiTuBox support. Not great things:- The manual isn't very useful. The included unboxing video / video on Amazon is far more helpful.- I'm not actually sure what the printer is capable of doing in terms of layer height. Creality (the manufacturer)'s website says .01 - .05 heights, online reviews says .02-.05, and the manual/this listing says .03-.05. I'll personally push it to .01 and .02 sometime to see what happens. I haven't yet as I don't see a big difference between .02 and .03 besides added print time so havent bothered.- The control screen stopped responding to touch once, even after turning it off and on again. I left it off for a few hours and turned it back on and it's been fine since.- There aren't any included instructions for cleaning or post-processing. You have to look those up online.Interesting things that are not good or bad:- Some places/reviews show it has a perforated build plate. This model does not and it is a solid metal build plate.- Screen power is less than some brands and more than some brands.Things I don't know:- I haven't tried any of Creality's resins as I've only used Elegoo resin to this point.- I haven't replaced the FEP yet, so I don't know how much of a burden that process will be.Tips for starters:- Each layer is printed on the FEP film. As a result, suction is created when pulling it up for the next layer. The larger the surface area, the harder it is to pull off and the higher risk for it to rip off the build plate instead. Rotate models (even like 10 degrees) to avoid large single layer surface area contact.

This one is built with high quality. It is heavy and not made of too many plastic parts. A bit more care should have been taken at the factory as the screen was only lighting up half. Did a couple of prints (should have tested first) and came out half printed. Did a calibrate and yep only half the screen was working. Checked the connection when I noticed the screen connector was cut in half and a piece of black (maybe hockey tape) tape (used to secure down connections) had a couple of long tape threads running through the middle of the screen connector. Screen was rendered unusable regardless. Luckily there is a local company that stocks them and went that route. Reached out to the seller and they quickly looked after me regarding the concern and helped resolve my problems, I will do business again with them. It works great now and print quality is great, no issues getting the print to stick to the plate and detail is fantastic. If you are used to a FDM printer there is a bit of a learning curve to these but the details on the prints is incredible.
