This smaller gel plate is perfect for printing standard sized card fronts (4.25 x 5.5 inches). It cleans easily with water when distress oxide inks are used. Colors are lovely when printed. Fits in my stamp platform as well. Great product.

"Lessons learned - there are many gel plate sources out there and they are not the same. If you are new, you watch a lot of videos that show you how to do things, how long, how much, what kind. This advice is often specific to the plates that they use so there is a huge YMMV. A bunch of artists said to use baby oil (mineral oil) to clean them. That doesn't work well on these plates, I found that Johnsons Oil Soap works best and I had a lot of practice. These are less likely to give a clean pull. Image transfer worked OK from a magazine and laser printer but were never as clean as the leading brand. So overall, these work OK, you have to find the combinations that work well for what you want to do. Don't only go by what you see in videos. The name brand gel is better, if you are just starting out get one of those"

This gel printing plate comes with a plastic storage box to keep it from getting messed up. The main brand large plate I have came with a case, but it’s a flimsy plastic. I like this one better. The price seems to be about average for a plate of this size (5x7). Using a brayer is best. There’s lots of fun printing you can do with these and I like this size.

I ordered this reusable gel printing plate for some of my linoleum printdowns. I really appreciate that this came in a plastic storage box to keep it clean. The size was as described 10 by 8 in. Do make sure that you clean the plate in advance by just doing a few test prints with regular acrylic.

I have had a lot of gel plates, and they always end up looking the same, no matter how well you care for them. At some point, all of them are going to start to degrade and, if they all work the same, there is no need to spend a lot of money on a name brand one that will end up in the same place as the less expensive one. This one work perfectly for my gel printing, there are no dips or fissures creating issues with my prints and it cleans off well.

The Holama Reusable Gel Printing Plate arrived in a plastic storage box, that is a huge plus as some gel plates do not, making storage a challenge. The plate I received is true to size, 10 inches x 8 inches x 9/32 inches (just over 1/4 inch) and had two protective plastic sheets on either side of it. As typical, this gel plated did require 'seasoning' to avoid oily bubble inclusions, but it is as simple as rolling on some acrylic paint and pulling it off with your choice of paper until you don't see any more inclusions when you pull your paper. Regular printer paper works just fine for this step, and you could embellish these sheets as background pages to prevent waste. The cleaning instructions say you can clean this plate with mild soapy water, but I've found that gel plates do quite well with a damp cloth (no soap) or a neutral water-based baby wipe. I'm quite pleased with the size, performance, and price point of this gel plate and it has been a welcome addition to my studio. I definitely recommend this.
