So far very happy with my purchase, I got a renewed one, for almost half the normal price and it was totally worth it. The USB C connection is great compared to the micro USB on others. The music sound quality is pretty good, you can tell it's processed through a DSP. This isn't bad but you can tell that the audio has been colored by the dac. Gaming audio however is an entirely different experience of awesome. Emerson is just brought to another level. I've tried the X4 with my FidelonX2HRs and X3s and it sounds great with both. Maybe a little better with the X2HRs. I still need to try it with my Audiotechnica x700s all of my head phones are open back so they tend to have great sound stage to start with. The X4 just opens every set of headphones up so dramatically. Now, I'm coming from onboard audio that's pretty good. The Arous x570 Master, has an ess saber dac and decent opamps, so it's no slouch. Only complaint I have is the X4 Sound Blaster app is a little hard to find for download. Once you have it, the auto update features for the driver and firmware work great however.
