Super solid little wrench set. The open end ratcheting mechanism is extremely useful for brake hoses or lines that a closed ratcheting end won't fit around. The splined closed end holds onto bolts very well also. The price is affordable too!

Warning: These are not ratcheting wrenches. They are box wrenches cut to slip on the nut in one direction. Guaranteed to strip your nuts. And Amazon is charging me $6.99 to return them, so I will switch to Walmart to purchase replacements. I am angry.

If you've ever had to remove a nut or bolt using an open-end wrench and found you couldn't swing it one flat without flipping your wrench over to get a better angle: then this is for you!You don't need these often, but when you do, their worth the money in terms of time, frustration and the ability to do a good job.

Bin auf der Suche nach Ratschenschlüsseln auf diese teile gestossen. Dachte mir eine Ratsche auf der Maulseite ist bestimmt nicht schlecht. Die Teile funktionieren auch sehr gut. Es gibt aber zweit Nachteile. Zum ersten ist der Maulschlüssel durch den Ratschenmechanismus dicker als konventionelle Schlüssel was ab und an zu Problemen führen kann. Zum Zweiten ist auf Grund der Arbeitsweise der Ratsche immer ein Umsetzweg von mindestens einer sechstel Umdrehung notwendig, bei dem Ratschenmechanismus in einem Ringschlüssel ist das weit aus weniger.

The spanners look well made and finished. However after some use it has become apparent that the ratchet mechanism in the open end is fragile. The 8mm ratchet broke at the first use - see the images where the first image shows an unbroken Crescent wrench and the second image shows where the ratchet piece has broken away. The static box end seems to be solid enough.

Used for medium sized bolts on brake job. Love them! The finish is fantastic and quality looks durable. Had to lightly bang one with a steel mallet, to break a stubborn bolt, and no issues. They are a must for building up a tool set.

como siempre en tiempo y forma (dos dias antes de lo programado) es la primera vez que compro esta marca en llaves, pero tengo matracas de 3/8 en la misma marca y se de su buen desempeño, trabajo en un taller de transmisiones automsticas y siempre se busca funcionalidad en las herramientas para facilitar el trabajo diario. Sólo cabe aclarar que la función matraca es en la española y no en la estrella. Si las uso del diario puedo dar fe que es un buen producto.

Updated Review:After my previous bad experience with these Crescent sent me a replacement set.The quality of the replacement set was good, I can't imagine how the faulty set made it to the shelf.I am completely satisfied with the new set, the wrenches are solid and reliable. I don't foresee premature failure with these. The box end really grips securely and I haven't came across any situations where they've slipped.I'd rate 5 stars, but i have to remove one for the initial bad experience, which is think is fair.Thanks for sorting this out Crescent.This Product is horrible.Cheap doesn't even begin to describe this thing. I run a small auto service shop and decided that this general design would be ideal for oil changes, with the box end being ideal for loosening the drain cock and the open ratchet end for removing it .I wish I could post actual pictures of this thing. The metal is painted to try to hide the horrid casting and of course one of the wrenches had the ratchet mechanism missing (the 12mm) .These wrenches will not stand up to any real work,i'm very disappointed, I wish I could return them, but I'm an international customer and the return shipping just wouldn't be worth it. I would imagine this entire set of wrenches should cost about $4. Believe it or not, this thing is super over priced, even at this price, its horrible.poor and cheap build qualitywill not lastratchet mechanism will fail and fall out(one of mine arrived thus).An absolute discredit to the Crescent name
