P30 Semen Detection Test
This home test works just like a pregnancy test - one line means negative, two lines means positive.
- The test can be performed on materials, including fabric, swabs, and bodily fluids.
- This test looks for a protein called prostate-specific antigen (PSA), not found in any other bodily fluids except minute amounts in blood, urine and some female bodily fluids.
- A positive result indicates the presence of PSA, suggesting the presumptive presence of semen. Confirm results with a DNA test.
Easy to use
Collect the stain
Rub the stain with a moistened swab for 60 seconds. You can also cut a small section of the material with the suspected stain.
Test the stain
Use the supplied dropper to place 15 mL of water in a container. Place the PSA test in container. Place the swab tip or fabric into the container.
Wait for results
Wait 10 minutes for results.
Read result
A positive test is indicated by two lines.
A negative test will only have one line.
