This is the second windshield frame that I’ve purchased from crown. Their dies are screwed up. Both frames are 5/8 inch to wide at the bottom. Measure before you start work, I had to eat one of these frames because I didn’t measure well enough.

Product came with a dent, no big deal there. Fixed the dent and went to mount it to fit everything before paint and there is no way this will bolt up. Sides of frame are not at the proper angle so the hinges do not sit square to the body and hinge holes on one side are 1/4" lower than the other side. I would be better off cutting up my old frame and welding in new steel than try to fix this one.

This frame is not identical to the OEM CJ5 frame, but it is the updated newer style. Slight damage to edge of frame from shipping but was easily bent back.

Frame is garbage. I had to redo about half the holes to match factory hinges. Don't buy it if you don't have a welder...Also, after fixing the holes & painting the part... The glass did not fit. I bought three different seals, broke one piece of glass, and finally took it to a shop only to be told that the frame was so poorly manufactured that I'd be better off buying a different one. So had to find one at a salvage yard. This part was complete garbage & all in... cost me at least 5x what I paid for it... Don't buy it.

Purchased as a replacement for a 197 7 CJ7 . Bolt holes lined up perfectly. No issues with the frame what-so-ever. Also purchased Omix-Ada 12302.03 Cowl Rubber Seal, Omix-Ada 12301.04 Windshield Glass Seal and PPR Industries 304741075GTN Replacement Glass Windshield For 1976-86 Jeep CJ7 And Scrambler CJ8.Cowl rubber seal fit good. The Windshield Glass Seal fit good, however, the windshield with this seal did not fit. Had a glass installer ground off 1/16 or so around the windshield to make it fit. After that everything fit fine.
