I use these on the Dana 35 TTB front axle on Explorers and Rangers. I use the outer lock nut as the inner on the manual lockout hub hardware. Then I use these lock washers, it they set in deep in the spindle channel, so no slipping on the spindle threads setting the outer locknut torque. I use the Blitzkreig Motor Sports outer lock nut that uses pinch screws to secure position on the spindle. The lock nuts never come loose.
