Does not fit in the corresponding C.S. Osborne haft. The base of the awl appears to be undersized and therefore will not stay in the chuck of the awl haft.

This thing PERFORMS. I'm working on some old thick 20+ oz leather (over 1/4 inch), and it just glides right through. Using the CS awl haft as well.

Love the size and shape of this awl. It is perfect for stitching my knife sheaths. I sharpened and honed it so it was working great, but I made the mistake of changing the angle of entry while making a penetration and snapped it. I liked it so much I ordered 3 more so I don't get caught without one mid-project. This is a good toolAfter breaking 3 more of these blades I have to say they are way too brittle for my purposes. Admittedly I am stitching together 3 layers of 8-9 Oz hide on the spine of my sheaths so it is a tough job, even for a sharp blade. I will keep looking for stronger blades.
