I have been using Yamaha hardware since 1980. I just needed this little piece to add to my edrum set and I was pleased that Yamaha still has super high quality and ease of use. Everything is well engineered.

It is very solid for the price. I bought this to hold my DTX502 as recommended by Yamaha. I wouldn't call it a perfect match. The 1/4 cable connectors protrude into the hi-hat stand. And you have to mount it low because it will be absolutely horizontal, so the interface is hard to use if up high. A middle angle swivel between the clamps would be nice, but again I'm not complaining too much for $16.
