I would not recommend these machine screws unless there is literally no resistance on the threads. Multiple screws twisted in half and most of the others stripped the Phillips head. I was using these to replace all of the screws in my stainless steel bbq, mostly screwing into blind nuts or threaded holes. My fear is that like the original cap screws, these too will start to pit and rust out.
