I finally found something that allows pressure testing on my 1998 Jaguar XK8 with this (4.0 liter engine, same ask XJ8). If the enclosed rubber gasket had been the proper thickness, I'd give this 5 stars. I found I needed to augment it with another for proper gap to seal. Anyone who's been round and round trying to find a proper pressure testing adapter will find this to be a marginal issue. Hey maybe the manufacturer will read this and help us out too. This will help you: Don't lose hope when you see the rubber gaskets in the local tool store are just a bit (1/8 inch as I recall) too large in diameter. It is easily fixed with a belt sander. Turn sander on, any grade sand paper will work. Safely support sander, grasp new rubber gasket loosely in your thumb/forefinger. (obviously your fingers are no where near the sandpaper) Turn on sander, align the rubber gasket to rotate in same direction as sandpaper like a tire on the road. Gently touch the gasket to spinning sand paper, with your fingers, let it turn a bit slower than the sand paper creating some friction - this takes off a millimeter at a time. Allowing it to spin ensures friction on all sides evenly. In a few seconds you will have safely cut the new gasket to proper diameter. Don't forget you will need to use a pair of vice grip like pliers to close off the 1/2 inch hose that protrudes from the back of the overflow tank. Yes the pliers can do this without damaging the flexible hose.John
