These are excellent quality, OE-style constant tension hose clamps. I bought a couple different sizes for a VW cooling system rebuild, and these are great replacements for old or missing ones. Just make sure to get the correct size via their chart.

Works well once installed but installation can be difficult. With the tubing I had, I needed to break the small tab so it could open farther. It wasn't a huge problem but it could have been easier.

Although it was written on the packaging that the clips were for 1-1/4" hose, they were way too smaller and did not fit to my 32 mm hoses. I had to use different clips.

A must have on today's cars' cooling systems which run higher engine temperatures. These clamps tighten up when the engine is cold and expand when the engine is hot. Every connection that I have installed this clamp on has not leaked a drop! Most auto parts stores do not sell these, most dealers do not stock these, so if you are doing car work, stock up on these - they are difficult to find locally but are a must have for engine coolant hoses.

I got the 1 1/4" size for a 1" inner diameter vinyl hose, 1.25" outer. I needed to squeeze this to its maximum extent to barely get it over the hose, and now that it's on, it is darn secure. You need to be good with a channel-lock pliers to get this thing on. Next time I might order a size up.

Very good quality clips. Compared side by side to the ones in my Jeep they look virtually identical. Go on and off and easy as OEM.

These are excellent, OEM quality replacement clamps. These constant tension clamps will allow the hose to swell a little bit when it heats up, then continue to clamp it well as it contracts. That happens thousands of times during the life cycle of the clamp. These clamps are very strong and require strong pliers to open. If you are right between sizes, I recommend ordering the larger size. Twice now I have ordered the clamps based on my measurements of the OD of the hose I was using and had to reorder a larger size. The issue is the flare on the end of the metal hose you place the hose on. What you really need to measure is the OD of the hose as it sits on the flare, because your clamp will need to clear that. In my case, I ordered the 7/8" clamp for some Gates Green Stripe 1/2" ID hose because the OD measures exactly 7/8". They were slightly too small to clear the flare, so I had to reorder the 15/16" clamp, which works perfectly. These clamps are outstanding once you get your size correct. They are far superior to the standard owner mechanic style worm clamp, which can loosen over time, does not allow the hose to swell, and can cut the hose with the screw marks in the band. These are far better, which is why you seem them as original equipment from the automakers.
