Upon opening the cube I noticed the green tile was off a little bit. I figured it would go back together after a few turns. It did not in fact it fell apart even more.I didnt even get to funny mix it up for my son. He WAS so very excited to get it and now it is not functional at all.

My son bought this with his birthday money and it fell apart within 1 day. It was very disappointing.

This thing is super-cheap plastic, edges catch too much and the face caps on the small segments pop off regularly. Makes you hate it and leave it in a corner. Strictly as a challenge, it's a great puzzle. Otherwise, it's just a pain to manipulate.

The cube itself, as a design is interesting. It's much more difficult than many conventional cube puzzles, and you can certainly pour a few hours into designing an algorithm to solve it generally, or to scramble and solve for sure.Unfortunately, the build quality of the cube itself is questionable at best, many parts of the cube falling off and requiring careful placement back into the cube. I could imagine that this cube would be very easy for a younger individual to break in their enthusiasm, especially considering its twisting mechanism.Watch a YouTube video on this cube so you have an idea of what you're buying. If you're an older customer, it shouldn't be as much of an issue with respect to breaking it, although I'd still say to be careful nonetheless. The algorithm to solve this does exist, so if you do scramble it and are unsuccessful in solving it, you do have a solution available.Would recommend the cube itself, but warn to be careful with it lest it breaks.

Great product. No stickers is good. It is quite the challenge. I wish there were some basic picture instructions to help understand the hidden cube inside. Tutorials on Youtube are hard to follow.

Bought for my son, who loves all kinds of Rubix cubes. He seems to approve and has had no complaints.

This cube is hard. It does not give the full range of moves that a 3x3 has as it gets in its own way (as a previous reviewer said). That said, if you or your child is using this as more of a fidget toy it WILL fall apart if not paying attention to the resistance it is giving. I have put it back together a few times as my kids like to pick it up and fidget with it (like they do with all the other speed and puzzle cubes we own). If you have experience with putting regular puzzle cubes back together you can piece this one together again it is just a little trickier. We have not solved it yet and we lost peices to it when my child snuck it to school and broke it on the bus... So, I will be ordering another one as we were really enjoying the challenge. We have done all sorts of puzzle cubes in the past and this one has been a treat. My oldest son usually solves new puzzle cubes within a few hours of messing with them. This one had him stumped. (I am sure it will just take him a little longer than the others once he works with it again).

...that are uninitiated. However, it's not going to be particularly hard to solve. This is essentially a shape mod that gets in its own way, on purpose. This means that the full motion of a 3x3x3, 4x4x4, etc., is not available, and THAT means a very limited set of turns and configurations. That said, when jumbled up, it not only looks as intimidating as any other puzzle of this kind, but the asymmetrical look will freak some folks out and make you look smart for solving it. Or, you can jumble it up and let it sit on the shelf to attract attention from curious people looking at your tchotchkes. Plan to get both versions, cuz you're a completist like me.
