I have a setup that I don't think is too out there. I have multiple 3.5mm aux from PCs, gaming consoles, etc. and through consolidation with HDMI switches and the like, I have 4 inputs. On the other side, I have a soundbar and a headset as outputs. After searching for a very long time for a 4-in/2-out aux switcher, they largely don't seem to exist. The one or two I could find use RCA input instead of aux (necessitating use of 6 adapters) and/or they commit the cardinal sin of small electronics by not placing every port on the same face of the device. As an example, SOLUPEAK makes a 4-in/4-out aux switcher that meets my needs on a technical level, but the four input and four output ports are on opposite sides of the device and would be a cable management nightmare. Not to mention that it just looks ugly as sin as well.I gave up on finding an all in one solution, and instead decided to simply buy two aux switchers. Nearly all of these devices seem to be reversible, so the same unit can be e.g. 4-in/2-out or 2-in/4-out. Taking advantage of this reversibility, one device would select from 4 inputs, and the second device would take the output from the first device to select between 2 outputs. This opened up my options considerably, but I also was not interested in anything that did not put all ports on the same panel. This Cubilux switcher is the one I settled on. The entire unit is the size of a BIC lighter and all 5 ports are on the same side. The selector knob is sufficiently resistant to accidental turns without requiring significant force. It does not introduce any ground loops (what most people call "buzzing" but don't know it is,) even at max volume with nothing playing. The only con is very minor. The 1, 2, 3, 4 markings don't particularly line up with the indicator on the selector knob, so it's tough to tell when it's on 2 or 3.My only suggestion is to not attach the non-skid pad and simply include it as an optional accessory. I peeled it off to put VHB tape on the back of the device instead.

I've been using it for a few months now and it does indeed cut out and start buzzing on it's own. I tried using different cables but to no avail. If you need something cheap that will do in a pinch, this will do temporarily but it's going to eventually frustrate you. I'm going to look for a better replacement.

I bought this switch to connect the audio outputs of my computers and monitors to my speakers. I am now able to switch audio from my computers or my monitors easily. After hooking it all up, one of my monitors had some hum come through. I added a hum filter which worked great.

I wanted this for an audio recording setup in a live online radio studio at home and it works very well. I use it to switch inputs to a single channel on my mixer. In the BBC when I worked for them they had a similar 'outside source' selector for when they do live outside broadcasts or need to add external audio sources to the studio mixer which are individually selectable. Well, I don't have to funds or room to buy a second hand BBC Mark 2 mixer desk, but this device brings me somewhat closer to having that 'outside source' selector applied to my home audio mixer, extending its capabilities.

The materials are quality, it has a nice rubber layer on the bottom to keep it from sliding around. I used it to allow me to plug in several morse code keys, and select among them easily. I could not use other products to do so, as they had a volumn control that dropped the low voltage. This worked perfectly, and did not effect the sound at all or add any noise to the line. It's a very nice size. Like some others, I would prefer if the inputs were on the back, and the output line was on an end, but maybe in the future.

Sound quality is good when only one input is connected. Once a second one it plugged in there is a very significant feedback. It is so loud that the device cannot be used. There is no feedback when I used an older switch that I was trying to replace with this unit. UPDATE: One of the other reviews suggested the need to add a ground loop noise isolator into the curcuitry. I have done this and the noise is gone. That ability should be designed into the device. As is, the added isolator was only about $10.

I can't even use this with 2 devices plugged in! There is so much interference from the 2nd device that the sound is terrible. With 3 devices it's unusably bad. With 4 devices it's a f---ing joke. They are lying to their customers. There is not "full isolation" between the circuits, if there is then it's not working. There should be no difference in my sound quality if I plug a second or third or fourth device in, THAT'S WHAT THIS IS FOR! If you are going to make a product make sure it does what you say it does. Why even make this?

I have four input sources (a radio and 3 computers) to put into one amplified speaker. This product does the job well. I haven't noticed any static or crosstalk and the rotary switch is solid. About the only improvement I would like to see is to reverse the labeling so that the plugs are on the back of the unit while the legend on the top is properly readable from the front. I had to turn it around and now the legend is upside down. Although it would increase the cost, I also wouldn't mind a volume control. But all in all, the price was right and it works as advertised.
