I have this basting spoon and a slotted spoon from this brand, and we use them almost daily. So, when I lost the basting spoon at a potluck, I was bummed. I was really glad that I could still find it on Amazon.

LOVE ITWe use it for many things besides basting. It's a sturdy, smaller spoon and works well for morning oatmeal, stirring spoon, smaller portion control, evening dishes, etc. It's actually a replacement for one we had for nearly 4 years. I made a mistake and used it as a scraper, and did not like all the scratches on the original fiberglass spoon; otherwise, it could have been used many more years!

The spoon is good, exactly what I was looking for - a spoon with a smaller sized bowl that is good for basting and that can withstand quite high temperatures. However, I was disappointed that after using it, whilst cooking a dish that contained turmeric, it has stained the spoon slightly.

One of my favorite kitchen tools. It is useful not only for gravy, but for dishing out stews, soups with large hunks (such as half a zucchini or a large chunk of beef), and for basting (for ex, distributing sauce over a casserole before returning it to the oven. I own two of these spoons and just ordered a third. I use these spoons that often.
