Great replacement for my truck that now has a 2.5” receiver. Fits perfectly to my weight distribution setup. Just unbolted it from my other hitch and put it on this one. Took it on a 3k mile road trip. It’s totally worth it as it’s better than the adaptor plates. It’s solid and for the most part silent. Had to use a different setting on the weight distribution but that’s because I got a bigger truck and it’s expected.

This shank was easy to install on my Husky Centerline TS WDH and fit perfectly into the receiver of my new 2024 F250. Very easy to swap out with the original and fit like a glove. Most difficult part was finding a torque wrench that would tighten the nuts to 380 ft/lbs of torque. Luckily I was able to borrow one from a friend. So glad I did this and don’t have to mess with the adaptor sleeve and slop that goes with it. Shank is very heavy and of good quality. Go ahead and get the Husky replacement hardware so you have new lock nuts and conical washers. Well worth the piece of mind!

Many reviews state a sloppy fit. For my 2024 f350, this fits really well compared to a variety of 2” to 2.5” adapters. Very little play at all. As far as the fit to a distribution hitch - it’s really tight, even took a rubber dead blow to get it on the first time. But, for me, that’s what I want.

Wow! It is a solid piece of metal! Fitted my Reese distribution hitch after i upgrade to 1 ton truck with 2 1/2 receiver. Definitely recommend it.

My current hitch was for a 2" receiver, this allowed my to swap over my WD system and no longer use my 2' tp 2.5" adaptor. There was so much sloop in this set up I could notice it while towing. The Curt fits really tight in my 2.5" receiver. This tighten up my trailer and all the sloop is gone. No more movement and noisey clanking

Upgraded my truck to a 1-ton. Which needed the larger hitch shank. Ordered this, installed my weight distribution hitch and away we went. Works perfectly with both the truck and hitch.

Great replacement for a 2 1/2 receiver adapter to 2 inch. My only complaint is the port for the locking pin is located too close to the bar. If it were an inch closer to the drop, then I would be able to drop my truck tailgate. Otherwise this bar is a perfect fit, tight and quiet.

I moved from a RAM 1500 to a 2500 which meant I needed a longer shank due to the height increase. Additionally the HD trucks have a 2 1/2" receiver and I didn't want to screw around with an adapter. This model of the CURT shank gave me the extra two inches drop I needed to mount my Recurve R3 WDH. The next size up would have been the CURT 8 inch drop shank which is overkill and too close to the ground for my needs.Good:Big heavy hunk of metalGreat powder coatingDirectly mounts to 2 1/2 receiver without an adapterMinimal slop in the hitch receiver (compared to other products)Compatible with non-Curt weight distribution heads that need a two inch left to right clearance to mount.Bad:NoneTips:To measure drop for a WDH, measure the distance between the top of the RV Coupler and the top of the hitch ball. Check your WDH instructions because it might suggest increasing the target height of your hitch ball to account for sag.To get your correct RV coupler height, measure so the RV frame is parallel to the ground. To do so, measure the distance between ground and bottom of the frame at the front and rear. These numbers must be equal. This eliminates any variance from even the slightest slope on the ground.
