A nice size for several tubs. Sturdier than previous model.

Was easy to assemble. Had to use a strip of rubber inner tube to silence the griddle in the centre. They should have welded every end point of the griddle, or covered the whole edge of the griddle with a solid strip of metal to cut the noise! What a racket noise,

I bought this on the Amazon warehouse deal. It was clearly a returned product by another customer. After reading the reviews I decided to take a chance and get it. I was glad I did that because the assembly went very smooth. It only took me less than 30 minutes to assemble it. Although it doesn't look or feel sturdy it was perfect for my use to carry trash to the landfill and a 100 lb. propane tank. Yes, it rocks side to side when it is hooked up to my vehicle just like any other product does. My bike rick does that too.Looks like all the bad reviews on Amazon for this product are from people who are technically challenged.

Looks solid? It's not. The framing and metal grate are thin. You'll need a hitch stabilizer and a rattle brace to keep it steady. Its not the "best in class".My advice? Look at your local Harbor Freight. You'll still be buying from Chyna, but it will also be a lot more sturdy and heavy duty.Recommendation: Don't buy this.

Curt gets it right. Simple design, simple (but tedious) assembly, great lightweight, and plenty strong to hold all your stuff. I prefer the low perimeter railing over other carriers so that my gear doesn't have to necessarily fit inside the footprint exactly. As with any of these carriers, I highly recommend the CURT Anti-Rattle Hitch Pin. I've used it for years and it works fantastic. It locks it in and doesn't allow the tray to move around. Well worth it over the provided bolt. Use double stick tape to keep the receiving nut plate in place inside the square stock during installation. Flatten out the little tab if needed. Remove after use. The only thing I don't about a lot of trays like this is the number and placement of the tie down holes along the railing. Easy fix though. A drill. I use rope ratchets as tie downs. They're a little tedious but tighten down great and are very versatile compared to bungy webbing, which I find worthless.

This worked exactly as I expected. However, note that I had to get a trailer hitch pin+clip and a anti rattle stabilizer for the excellent experience I had with this product.I hauled a cooler and two boxes symmetrically placed on the tray. I covered these with a tarp and held it down with a ratchet strap (3). The ride was mostly freeway and very few rough gravel roads (total distance of about 400 miles traveled. I had no issues at all - I didn't even notice that I had the cargo tray on.I track my gas mileage all the time and the degradation with the tray and load was not noticeable. The only gripe I have is - My SUV's trunk doesn't open with the tray folded up.. so I have to keep the tray off when I'm not using it. If the trunk would open, I would leave the tray on all the time.

Bought a hitch for the Honda element and this will attach to the back.It arrived well packaged and secure. Nothing was missing and no damage. Assembly was easy and straightforward. Might help to have an extra hand as it may be heavy for some and kinda awkward. I had all the tools except for I had to borrow an adjustable wrench for the large bolt on the neck. It was bigger than anything I had on hand.I knocked it down one star for sturdiness because one of the spot welds that holds down the grated floor broke loose while I was moving it. Should be fine as long as the others hold. Powder coating seems pretty durable and overall its a strong and well designed product. And for anyone just buying a hitch and accessories, you will need a hitch pin/lock to secure the connection. I didn't know that I would need this and had to make a separate order after. Other than that, Im happy!

Using this as an improvised ebike rack with the addidtion of a fork mount. Works great and quite economical compared to available ebike racks, esp during pandemic shortages. The 500-lb weight limit seems generous -- I would absolutely not feel comfortable standing on the outer edges as a 170-lb adult. No problem standing on the center beam, so make sure your load is distributed. Anyways no issues with a 75-lb ebike.

Assembled pretty easily, not too heavy, and seems pretty sturdy. So far, I've only hauled a load of flagstones on it. I'm worried about rust if the paint is worn off, so I lined it with some cardboard for that job. I also cut up and applied a 4 foot roll of reflective tape to the sides and back, so that it would be more visible to following vehicles. I intended to insert a two-bike carrier into the hole in the back of the main support, so I was disappointed by the bolt going through that spot. I may end up drilling a corresponding hole in the bike carrier support or finding some other workaround so that I can carry 5 bikes on this unit. I would also be concerned about carrying bikes without adding some kind of vertical support for them for stability.

Price: Great deal compared to similar carriers. I was worried that this was going to be a cheap product for a cheap price BUT this is a SOLID & DURABLE carrier!Assembly: Super easy for one person to assemble and light enough to load and unload from the vehicle.Application: This carrier is perfect for both long and short trips whether you’re hauling a large or small amount of cargo. Not to mention it has a pretty high weight capacity that can handle just about anything reasonable. The sidewalls have lots of anchor points for strapping down your cargo and keep things from sliding around if loaded properly.*Storage: Takes up a very small footprint when not in use.*Don’t forget: You’ll need some tow straps and a hitch pin before you load this thing up and hit the road.
