This will definitely eliminate your ball insert noise. It worked to completely quiet my truck down.Good quality material and construction.I rated it a 4 because I had to install this upside down on my 2015 Ford Lariat factory hitch receiver because the adjustment lever wont work upside-up. It isn’t completely universal in its application. The handle is zip tied to keep from loosing it. Looks a little janky but it definitely works.It is still a quality part and I recommend it with the above caveat.

On my 2.5 inch receiver, it fits over lip just fine and stops the rattle.

I bought this because of the design. Some how I lost it the first trip out. Not sure these are even worth the hassle. If I buy another one it will be the bolt down nut type

The device worked well for a few months but then the cast “v” section broke. It would be fine to reduce bike rack and platform rattling but really not durable enough for trailers. It is overpriced for what it is. However, it was convenient when before it broke.

The clamp was loose the first time after a short trip despite being tight when we left. The wedge piece is soft aluminum and is bent and grooves worn in where the clamp engages it after one use. Not worth the money.

No tool my butt. Put on a 2 1/2 hitch and tightened nuts down as far as I could and it did not put hardly any force on the hitch. The threaded shaft going up in to the clamp end would not go up far enough because it was too long and the other side was too long also and the clamp would not even close all the way. I cut the shafts down to be able to tighten it up more and when I got it as tight as I could the hitch still rocked back and forth. We are only talking a 150 lb electric scooter lift. Not a big heavy trailer. But I guess I am out of the money because I cut it down just to see if it would even work.

I really like the design and function of this device. It is easy to use and seemed to work well. However, it broke the second day we had it installed. The part that broke (into 4 pieces) was the aluminum triangular piece that tightens down on the hitch tang.
