That means equipping it with a coupler that is built to go the distance. CURT straight-tongue couplers, featuring our Posi-Lock latch, are the most common type of trailer coupler. With a mounting channel designed to fit onto a straight trailer tongue, the Posi-Lock coupler is easy to install. It is made from hardy steel construction and has a durable zinc finish to protect from corrosion, wear and tear. The lockable latch mechanism on CURT Posi-Lock couplers is easy to operate and adjusts by tightening or loosening a simple bolt. This CURT straight-tongue coupler features a gross trailer weight capacity of 3,500 lbs. and a tongue weight capacity of 500 lbs. It has a 3" channel and fits a 2" diameter trailer ball. All CURT couplers include a limited lifetime warranty and feature a lockable latch to give you peace of mind.

At some point several years back i decided to swap the ciupler on my snowmobile trailer. I purchased an off brand coupler. Each year , it became a hassle to attach onto the hitch ball. I sprayed lithium, i cleaned it with naptha, i took the spring off and checked for broken parts, all to no avail. I ordered the Curt brand with a 3” tongue for a perfect fit. So much more pleasant to just lower the coupler and have it slip smoothly over the ball.

Best quality coupler of this style I’ve used. The holes are slightly high for my application, so I had to walk them down by drilling and shaving off on the low side. Very small amount was needed.Happy with purchase

delivery was quick, quality excellent.Installation was literally 2 bolts and functions well.Only dislike is the stupid label wrapped around the shiny bit.Try as I might it simply can't be peeled off easily.Come on guys, I know your proud of your product. But, make it easier for your customer to remove your advertising documentation please! Shouldn't have to purchase another product to remove "YOUR" labels.

Curt has a great bloodline in the towing industry and this is no exception. Strong, easy to install, bolt holes line up perfect. Now let's help you remove the sticker. Almost all of curt products have this hurricane glue sticker on them but is SO EASY to remove. Use a heat gun on the inside of the hitch mount to 130~°F or so and it will peal off nice and slow. A little brake clean or equivalent to remove the last traces of glue and in 60 second you have a showroom finish. Don't fret the sticker.
