These tow balls are an excellent extension of your class 3 or class 4 trailer hitch and ball mount, and are the ideal choice for most pickup trucks and SUVs (NOTE: Never exceed the lowest weight capacity of any towing component; i.e. the vehicle, hitch, trailer, etc).This particular 2" trailer ball offers a ball capacity of 6,000 lbs. It features a 1" shank diameter, a 2-1/8" shank length, 1" of rise and a nickel-chrome finish to protect against rust and scratches. With its fine-threaded shank, this 2" trailer ball also offers an added measure of holding strength and provides smooth installation and torqueing. This is exactly what I needed on my stinger so that my trailer will pull level. The stinger I have is somewhat adjustable, however I needed in between the adjustments, so this did the trick….would highly recommend…. Price was fine …..

I tow a small trailer with my car and it was difficult to hitch up because car sat too low. This makes hitching easy without having to extend anything.

like a lot of other reviewers say, this thing has no wrench flats to stop it from turning while tightening the nut. I had to wrap it up in duct tape and put it in a vice to stop it from turning. There should also be a hole drilled through the shaft at the bottom for a cotter pin to keep the nut from falling off, how hard would this be? The chrome plating is so thin you can almost see through it. Not a good value.

Seems good and a nice option to add some height to an existing receiver. Seems well made. Installs easy in a vice. It would have been a bit easier if there were were flat sides for wrench.I am using this to a tow bar on a lifted wrangler so needed the added height to get the tow bar level with the jeep.

Have only used this a few times, but has worked great coupled with my Curt hitch. I was a bit thrown off by how much torque is required for install - Curt recommends 250 ft/lbs. Actually just bought a new torque wrench, but doesn't go that high. Used a wrench with a big cheater bar along with some loctite and crossed fingers.
