The packing tape left some residue and the top plink parts don’t click together it’s just resting on itself which is frustrating a bit. But it’s cute and the trash lid clicks open and close at least

The clasp on the lid broke almost immediately so the lid wouldn’t shut then the lid eventually broke off without even being used

I almost couldn't use this trash can. When it arrived, the lid wouldn't stay closed at all. Thankfully, I thought to check the box again and found the small plastic piece that I needed to put into place so that the lid could click closed. It's a little annoying that it had to be packaged separately like that, but I'm not mad about it.This trash can is a wonderful addition to my desk. I was kind of expecting it to be smaller, but that's completely my mistake. The pictures here are accurate, I just wasn't paying attention.A small suggestion for other customers looking to make it cuter: cut out a little semicircle of black paper and glue it to the lid to add a cute smile!

First, the good:It looks cute (I picked the yellow as it resembles a minion). The button DOES work as intended, and is rather useful. It's nice to have the option to take off the lid to access the inner-bin, and it's not difficult to detach/attach. It comes with a roll of trash bags (20x?).The bad:There are cracks in the lid design that prevents a proper seal... so odors will escape, and FRUIT FLIES will have absolutely no problem getting in and laying eggs (in the summer, this is a huge issue for any home with fruit/veggies). The inner-bin is NOT detachable, and you have to clean it and dump it out as a single piece (makes it more difficult to clean and dry). Worst of all, the 4 little footpegs at the bottom of the insert are molded in and recessed, so garbage will pool at the bottom if you're not using the plastic bag liners.I wanted to use this can to dump the contents of reusable k-cups, but I found that the opening of the click-lid is just too small and constricting (the white flap gets in the way). Taking off the top is an option, but kind of defeats the purpose. And with fruit flies being a problem in the summer, this can just doesn't work unless you completely tape up the cracks of the flap, which again defeats the purpose. Worst of all is the potential pooling of gunk at the bottom in the footwells. I wasn't intending to use this can with the plastic baggies (I have a compost pile I use out back), and this would make the can incredibly difficult to clean. For now, I've covered the bottom with packing tape to seal shut the foot-holes, but that really shouldn't have been necessary.Despite my issues with this trashcan, I can see it being very useful in the right scenario. That's why I've leaned toward giving it 4 stars instead of 3.
